Hello Jacq and thank you for joining us for this beautiful hand tied wedding bouquet! We deeply appreciate your kind words of praise and are so happy that we can be of some assistance to you. That's an excellent question and a challenging one as well. One of the best ways to have flowers that are fresh and beautiful despite warm conditions is to hydrate them well with clean water and flower food for a long period of time before you design. We also suggest Quick Dip which is a rapid hydrator. Not sure if it is available in Singapore, but we have it on our webpage and it may be possible to ship it to you: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_17&products_id=213 If you have a cooler available, do your best to keep the flowers in the cooler until you need them for the celebration (unless you are using tropical flowers, which generally don't like the cooler). Even an ice chest filled ice and a vase with water could help them stay gorgeous. It might also be helpful to choose flowers that like a hot and humid climate as they will respond better to it. Im trying to make my own weeding flower arrangements what would be the most long lasting flowers/greeneries you would recomend ?how far in advance I can make those 1,2 3 days since Im going to be very busy that week, and which technique will you recommend ? Hello Livia and thank you for your excellent questions! It really depends on what's available in your area at the time of your wedding and what flowers you enjoy most. Sometimes it is easier to build a bouquet around a color palette than specific flowers, particularly with issues around the supply chain these days. Roses and carnations are long lasting flowers that you could consider and they are generally readily available year round too. If all of your flowers have been processed correctly and are well hydrated for an extended period of time, you could probably make your bouquet two days in advance of the wedding as long as you could keep it cool and in water until the day of the ceremony. Given that you will be very busy that week, perhaps you might consider letting an experienced designer create something beautiful for you instead? That way you can focus on your wedding preparations and pamper yourself too.
