Problem with holding ash for bard, is depending on the pk players hand they can make apollousa before bard and render it dead.

Lol I know people don't like it but I main ghost bell in my PKs as one of my combo insulators. It's negates gamma, called by the grave and crow. It has come up so I know I made the correct choice lol. Also when pak said that pk players never control cards, if I have something like fog blade in my opener, after summoning cherubini I always set 1 because I know my opponent will want to pop cherubini since negating it does nothing. Oh and right after I wrote that pak said it lol. Dammit pak don't tell them!

Ghost Belle is useful right now against called by the grave to protect your own combo, nothing else. Many other handtraps are better than Belle on her other utilities against graveyard. D.D crow, Artifact Lancea, Dimension Shifter (I hate this card), even Skull Meister... They all are more effective (and no once per turn clause, damn, it's not Ash Blossom tier lol) to deal with opponents GY than Ghost Belle and Haunted Mansion. Actually no reason why running her, if you can Crossout Designator to shut down any handtraps (includingto counter Psy-Frame Gamma) or mirror-matches for a turn, and eventually use same cards to interact with your opponent on the next turn.

I think I disagree on ogre vs swordsoul. If you ogre the normal, they need to have the level 6 to go for baron plays, the water tenyi is like a 1 of in hardly anyone’s deck. Anything else they can’t synchro with using the token and they’re locked out of the extra deck? It’s like negating the infant in AI. They have outs with hard drawing field spell so it’s a good choke point to hit. It’s been working great for me so I could I could have confirmation bias

Ading to tombox they could have vessel/dragon cycle as well. Ogre is only good vs pure swordsouk ir dpe but those suck here so Ogre is really mediocre.

@@Q67-m7z it still forces them to have an extender to keep playing, thats not bad imo, its like saying that imperm is bad against sworsould. I think that ogre is actually better since it leaves them with just the token so they can't go for the synchro 8 if they have long yuan as the extender

I'm actually struggling when it comes to how many defensive cards I should run while also playing cards like Cross out designator or Triple tactical talents. I like using hand traps, but it seems like main deck some trap cards might be something to consider when entering into a control format. Some traps to consider would be cards like Solemn strike and Solemn Judgment.

Same, I run pure lyrilusc with handtraps and Crossout, now while my turn one combo usually goes through I always feel like some backrow to compliment the end board would be great

@@sirernest546 I played pure L ALOT LOL 😆 try the quickplay spell blizzard for stopping spells in main deck as it is good going 1st or 2nd. I tried play tri-lyrilusc and immediately realized the link 3 bird is getting banned lol so I just moved on to the future top deck Brave-Lyrilusc which does essentially the same thing without the floodgate just omni negate, it's like playing apex avian instead of barrier statue in bird up, I like tho that brave takes up no Xtra deck space as tribrigade does so I add better tech in for my lyrilusc cards

Kinda crazy to see ash being so mediocre against most of these decks, it was by far the best handtrap for the longest time (maybe tied with Imperm but still)

Its been kinda bad for a while, the issue is most decks now need either a hard floodgate like droll or an insane go 2nd card like drnm to be beatable, and now with BODE most decks need TWO of these to be beatable. Ash just isnt enough.

So, if you simply Kaiju them you're getting the exact same results (just not preventively and maybe not as effectively). Now, lots of people like the game but not everybody is interested in becoming a Yugioh nerd, which is required to use handtraps the most effective way. Let the man choose his way to deal against his opponent's monsters

Personally for the deck coverage I would've liked to see the actual top 5 decks beeing (probably) Drytron, Swordsoul, tribrigade, virtual world and PhantomKnights. Bird up is neat but worse than other variants imo and floowandereeze is nice anti Meta especially right now where people don't know it as well
