Love the voicings and the sound! Great job! The only thing I would say Hallelujah is from the Easter part of the Messiah (End Part the Second according to Handel's autograph manuscript) not Christmas. Still it's wonderful to listen to! Bravo!!
@joyfulyes Жыл бұрын
I'm afraid people like you and me are shouting into the wind concerning the season for this music. It is definitely Easter music, but everyone associates it with Christmas. Makes my teeth itch frankly. But I've just about given up and am learning to just enjoy...
@djcfrompt9 ай бұрын
Yes, but it's gotten so associated with Christmas that few folks understand that. Last year my choir sang it for a postlude at Easter, and when the director mentioned that we would be doing so one of our tenors sarcastically remarked "yeah, because that makes sense!". Then it got added as a Christmas Eve postlude too. So apparently our pastor now thinks it's the "high holy day closer".

bravissimo!!!

Well done! I hope you will be able to play it again this year for Christmas! it's a wonderful piece! It has a wonderful history of King George II of England standing up for the piece on March 23, 1743. He was acknowledging that the line "King of kings! and Lord of lords!" applied to him too as he was a Christian and would know how that passage was straight out of Revelation 19.

very nice performance, especially the additional figures in the right hand as the finale nears.........however the organ sounds like a very poorly voiced electronic....seems very high pitched [almost certain not at A440].......no serious registration for the pedal board was ever used such as 16' or 32' principals......or do we have a performer who is not strong on the pedal board?
@kirkc4696 Жыл бұрын
I agree about the sound.....too hghly pitched.
@djcfrompt9 ай бұрын
A nice performance. Could stand to lose the upper voices though (is that a 1' principal I hear?).
@connor_flanigan4 ай бұрын
I praise god and black jesus for that 1' principal. I get a blessing from it. but what I could really use is a little more cowbell.

Warum mit Maske gespielt das verstehe ich nicht. Ja du hast recht gut gespielt.
@1corinthians15.1-4kjv Жыл бұрын
Are she seriously in a huge church room, apparently alone or none nearby at least, with a mask on! The most of my fellow Christians has just become docile, compliant and lack any sort of discernment. You know, we are commanded to show good discernment?
@jcb3user Жыл бұрын
The words of this spectacular piece and the incredible playing probably should be our focus. Mask is irrelevant.
