Recently I had the good fortune to hear this wonderful work in the perfect location - The Temple Church, London a place which Handel himself frequented. What a stunning experience, can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable music events I’ve ever been to.

A wonderful Anthem by a wonderful Choir and in some ways what Handel wanted , but look at the performance of Seraphic Fire , a smaller American choir which starts , as Handel wrote, with soloists and continues with a wonderful life enhancing and emphatic performance which has rubato that is just right.
