Phenomenal as always!!! Here's a bit of 'Zadok' trivia for any fans out there: At the 1937 Coronation of Their Majesties King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Coronation Choir and Orchestra were under the baton of Dr Ernest Bullock, Westminster Abbey Organist & Master of the Choristers, and Director of Music for the Coronation Service. The Abbey organ on that occasion (and later in 1953) was played by the Abbey Sub Organist Dr Osborne Peasgood. I don't know what happened, and I'm not about to speculate on the abilities of such a fine musician as Dr Peasgood, but I wonder if nerves got to him, because he played the last bar of the first section of Zadok (a loud, long A major chord) exactly one bar TOO EARLY which clashed catastrophically with what the choir and orchestra were singing and playing. He held the notes down until the everyone else caught up a bar later! If I'm not believed, listen to the live recording of the 1937 service. It's there for all to hear - and it's to be found on KZbin too!!!

Maybe because I grew up listening to dad playing an organ (unfortunately not a pipe organ, wouldn't have fitted in the house) but there really is nothing to beat listening to one being played properly. And Jonathan Scott plays beautifully, aided by his magnificent arrangements of orchestral and/or choral pieces for the organ. I have just discovered this fabulous organist and have also just spend two days doing nothing but listening to this magnificent instrument as played by him. Brilliant, Bravo. Encore. Take care and stay safe. Thank you from a new subscriber.

Quite brilliant. Superb pedal work especially on the runs. The organ is very full blooded and a good example of Rushworth and Draper's work, which was always distinctive. I hope you get the opportunity to play the 5 manual Rushworth in the Chapel of Christs Hospital, Horsham. It has the most stunning Tuba Magna stop played from the top manual. The pipes are situated in the gallery far from the console. When I was a pupil at the school in the 1960s, it was always a thrill at the end of term and sitting in the gallery to hear this beast unleashed on the 850 boys especially for the final voluntary. We would hear the gallery blowers whirring into life in and knew that the Tuba's lungs were being filled in readiness to speak - and speak it did. Thrilling beyond words. Do hope you add Christs Hospital chapel organ to your list, Jonathan - please!!

Magnificent - but I have a small nitpick. Handel did not mark a crescendo for the introduction before the fortissimo choral entry - it actually has much more impact if the intro is played quietly throughout. However, nothing can detract from just how good an arrangement this and how well played.
