Proud fellow Australian here! There is a farm in regional Queensland where I have been to quilting retreats a handful of times and it has a Helen Godden original piece on display - I admit, I went all fan-girl over it, took photos next to it etc.! What an inspirational master 😍

I'm feeling really motivated. Could you share some details about the biweekly topic you brought up?

As a beginner, it is essential that you have a mentor to help you stay accountable. In my case, Claudia Ann Brandon has guided me for months and I highly recommend her. I focus on her. To be honest, I'm almost hesitant to let someone take charge of growing my finances, but I'm so glad I did.

I started my trade with $5000, and in the of one month I got credited with $22,000. It remains my biggest win for the year 2024

LOVE Helen! Funny story - when I took a class from her a few years ago, she was describing how she drew a log cabin block - because she was sure it was different than how one would piece it - we said "what do you mean?" and she said she never made a log cabin block before - just drew it. That is how non-traditional she is! Her talent is bound-less!

OK, I can’t be the only one who wants to hear Helen’s non-g-rated analogy. 😁

Helen, so great to see you again. Was fortunate to have taken some of your classes and seen many of your works up close when I lived in Canberra. Still have the notes and FMQ sampler from one. Best hint I remember was when we gridded a large piece of fabric into ~8-10 inch squares and you had us doodle/FMQ within that smaller space. So much less intimidating for me. Can't wait to see your fabric line in April.

Helen, I have admired you so much for so long. How many stitches are on your Sweet 16?

I've been a Helen fan for a long time, but never heard the story of how she got started in quilting. So interesting!
