Thank you for this video. And all your videos. They are very helpful. Ive got 14 goats and no fences. An a untrained motivated border collie. Ready to learn! Cant find any other good videos out there.

Great video! I’m still trying to learn it. It’s a process that’s all I have to say.

Hi there! It’s definitely a process. I have another video you may have already watched that I explain a bit better how to use the whistle. It’s called Shepherd’s whistle commands part one. It took me a week to get a single sound when I was learning. Hang in there! Take care

That's awesome :) I'm not a sheepherder myself, I have a shetland sheepdog (just a pet and companion), and he loves learning new things and have a few jobs around the house and such, to keep him mentally stimulated :) But when we're out on walks, I'd love to be able to just whistle him back and a few other commands we already have down verbally, but I can't whistle to save my life hahah - gonna give this type of whistle a shot :)

I love Shetland Sheepdogs! So beautiful and sweet. My mother and sister used to have them. I have a video called ‘Shepherd’s Whistle Commands, part one’ if you haven’t seen it. Shepherd’s whistles are difficult at first to get a sound. The video will demonstrate how to use it and get sound out. Nice to hear from you. Take care

@@bwrstockdogtraining2723 Oh that's so cool :) I did see the first part, that's actually what brought me to this video - I was curious to see it being taught 'in the field' as it were :) Ah look, if it's too difficult to learn, I play the violin, I'll just bring that on walks if all else fails haha :) Thanks, and you take care too - have a lovely evening
