Please don't confuse what the word antique means though. That is something that was made a long time ago. If this was made just ten years ago it would not be an antique. Made to look antique is what you mean most likely. Antiques put their time in. No pun intended. And they are in fact very beautiful!

With the price per pound of copper now added to the labor and overhead of the shop, the price of these and made by hand in old methods and techniques, the price of reproduction vintage pieces would be enormous and based on the quality of each piece. Would only be feasible here as a hobby or sideline, you couldn't make a living on these primitive crafts but as an art it would be super. I enjoyed and learned but have already worked some in copper. The video leads to creativity.

Copper has to be annealed over and over again prior further deforming to make it soft again. Copper is workhardening, when it gets treated, like stainless steel. IMHO this Persian man is an artist.
