Today we visited an event held here in the heart of Isaan in Surin Province. We were very surprised on what the event had to offer. It displayed products created and hand crafted here in Surin and we were blown away!
Fantastic event to showcase the culture and heritage of this small province, which I believe is one of the most underrated and under appreciated.

Great vlog as always Nat & Camila. We have a silk festival every year here in Khon Kaen which has a very similar marquee with all the silk in it from worm to finished product. Simply incredible. So many things you can add and you can even do special order items. Places like that are the true gems and one hardly finds it here in the US unless it's one of those once a year trade shows or expo. Hope to see some local farmers as well. You have to stop for a roti they are delicious banana and chocolate spread OMG 😳🤤🤤🤤😋😋😋. The elephant park is massive in Surin I didn't know they did art and craft on that site My ex-girlfriend lives in a Village not far from there I do like Surin and the people.

In Australia it’s illegal to bring ivory into the country, and only old ivory products already here can be sold within Australia. The girls don’t have much fear on the playground equipment🫣🤭, yes kids will be kids😊 Wow all that food looked yummmmeeee, so jealous 🤭🤣

It was a really cool event, so much to see and everything was so well made, we were very impressed! Ahh yes, I think ivory is illegal in most countries now - as it should be! Kids definitely will be kids haha. Poor Camila, her mouth was watering but all she could manage was a small pad Thai, I ate well though 🤣

There's a village called Ta Sawan just north of Surin, they used to make silk there, probably still do. Also at the other end of the scale , there's a business called the commercial Surin,on Google maps, nicknamed shop Muslim, great for cheap goods, like stocking fillers, excellent for sarongs; my Mrs still wears some of them she got 21 years ago. Like old undies I suppose. 55555555. We will be going to the otop market tomorrow, noticed they have ac in the tents.
