I’m always surprised reading comments of people that never block garments. The yarn is usually pretty dirty, it often has some chemical coating, if anything, I just don’t want that stuff on my skin. But also, do people actually never wash their knits???

Hi Florence. Brilliant podcast as usual. I particularly love all your tutorials. My sock knitting has come on leaps and bounds since watching your sock tutorial. They look so polished and perfect now. So thanks for putting your time into them. I’m sure you have had lots of people asking for the toggles. However if not I would love them. I’m definitely going to make that cardigan you e just finished love the details of the neck etc.

Beware. It is generally known that gauge is usually tighter when knitted in the round in small circumferences. That why we size up the needle for sleeves. Good luck on your Lillehammer sweater. It's glorious. 🎉😊

I know people often mention this, but I don’t personally find there is a difference with my gauge at small circumferences! I think it’s one of those things you learn about your own knitting with time, and for me it’s not a problem.

Beautiful knitted projects again! Thank you for sharing your work Florence. I’m really excited to see a video on color work knitting and how easy it can be. I’ve done a little on hats and a shawl but I haven’t done a larger garment yet. I need more courage and brain bandwidth to jump in. I’m still working on your Step by Step Cardigan. I really appreciate your video, which helped me when I may have over thought the directions or just needed a visual like for the Italian bind-off on the bottom of my sweater. I need to start the sleeves soon. I’m waiting on 9” circular needles because I have little patience for double pointed ones. 😅 Thank you again for another fun podcast.

The cardigan No.9 is so nice! I finished mine a couple weeks ago and got a few wears before it got too warm. I couldn't find toggle buttons near me so ordered a 50 (!!) pack from Amazon. They were the only ones in the right size/shape/colour. Hopefully some of my knitting friends can use up some of them lol. Mine also transformed from a too small lumpy mess to a wonderful perfect fit cardi.

I've been seeing the moomin sock book here in Finland, and have been tempted to buy it and this podcast episode might give me the final push. I'm curious as to how you think the Book Club Cardigan fits when you're finished with it. From the photos, it looks like the V in front where the two sides come together is very narrow around the neck and has a steep angle compared to most other V-neck cardigans. The cardigan is pretty, but I'm really wary of the fit because of that and am not sure I want to knit it.

I use both! Shirotake are much blunter and less smooth, so if you enjoy other wooden needles you might like those. Koshitsu feel pointier and are much smoother - I think most people would prefer them, particularly people who like metal needles or knit lace etc.

Hey! I have a question for anyone who’s used Peer Gynt - do you usually tend to use it for patterns calling for DK weight yarn? The yardage is so small for 50g (even less than even some Aran weight yarns), and the one time I swatched with it for a DK weight jumper (the Svenson pullover) I couldn’t get gauge to save my life, it was so big. Any tips greatly appreciated, as it’s such a beautiful yarn I’d love to knit with it! 🧡🧶
