Also, practicing on an Amara D Handpan and a, finding that it doesn’t yield the same beautiful sounds from the chord set of that from the teacher here. What chord set is the Handpan in the video?

Thanks for this video, this has given me some motivation to return to my handpan after a longer pause! One suggestion, if I may. Please never say "I am just exploring" to students. I hear similar things from many musicians, and it's like saying "it's rational" in math or sciences. This can be very frustrating to students, because they feel they should understand something without further explanation, but still, they don't. They will try one or two notes by chance, and if those do not sound good, then they will instantly feel frustrated. Try to substitute these phrases with practical advices instead like "try different notes, and see which combinations work on your handpan". Please remember that you know your instrument very well, but a beginner does not have well known harmonics. For him it's a challenge to aim for hitting one specific pitch. Sorry for this long post, apart from this I really like the video, and I really like the notation system you have built up. The ghosts are super cute. :D

Hi, I’m going to buy a handpan, but I’m a bit confused. They come in many different sizes with a variety of note numbers; some are 9-note and some are 14-note and some are 53-note! Can you guide me as to which to buy to have for some time as a beginner?
