Even though I love the sound of a good handpan, I doubt that it is the right instrument for the Soma Cosmos, or vice versa. I think the Soma Cosmos only really comes to life with soft, atmospheric sounds. Granular sounds without reverb behind them always sound somehow broken. And you can only play any instrument, perhaps even a handpan, on top of it.
