Soma can be very, very happy to have you demo the Cosmos! Cosmos sounds great, but also the sounds you're sending into it are already really beautiful and the way you play of course too. Mesmerizing... Thx for sharing, it was a joy to watch your video🙏

I’ve been pondering the Cosmos for quite a while Matt. Never been convinced that I’d get my moneys worth out of it. However; your demo has completely changed my mind and it’s gone to the top of my wants. Thank you for such a clear, concise and inspirational video;. Your performance with the Moog One blew my mind; truly magnificent.

I've had this thing for a year now, and really appreciate watching you actively play this thing. Thanks for the tips always love how "playable" this pedal is. It's essentially an instrument.

Thank you. I love the way you sculpted the sound with the input knob. Feels like my style to do that and add great dynamic!

I've heard a few folk doodling around with the Cosmos but this is the most musical use I have ever heard. You really have sussed out how to get the most out of this bit of kit. Inspiring - thank you!

Just lovely. I highly agree with the meditative quality of music. At the end of most hard days, when it seems all my creative juices are gone, I just turn on my MODX, find a Rhodes type patch set the reverb to a long delay, and zone out. Watching your videos inspires me so much! Thanks, Matt!

Really cool device, love the idea behind it and how it can almost effortlessly create great soundscapes.

What a machine! What a demonstration! Another 'Must Buy' :-) Some of the sounds put me in mind of Michael Hoenig's album Departure from the Northern Wasteland. In an age when all the workstation keyboards are, by and large, excellent at providing all the traditional 'meat and potato' sounds, it's great to have companies like Soma who are constantly bringing out such inspirational gear.

Some brilliant choices went into the engineering of this. It rewards the sparse playing which has always resulted in the most interesting loops in my experience. My looping goes back to 1970, with two Teac 1/4” tape recorders, pretty much the opposite of this. But as I progressed, I found my favorite loops came from machines which could not possibly be depended on for predictability, such as a modded RE301, with a tape length of 15-45sec. They made my musical input change dramatically, to something more atmospheric, and it was that setup which allowed me to loop while my band played very rigid time. Listening back to those live recordings brings a big smile to my face. This is the first of modern ‘loopers’ I have heard that inspire me. It’s been a long strange trip and I know I could really enjoy this.

Really nice video Matt and a really great sounding delay/looper too. I was weighing up the Cosmos about a year ago for a 'Frippertronic and/or Steve Reich' type of delay but ultimately went with the Vongon Polyphrase (which is also fantastic). PS, I found your channel about 4 years ago when I was looking at buying the Behringer RD808, and it's amazing to see how much your channel has (deservedly) grown since then when you had about 500 subscribers! Cheers.

I've had one of these for a few months by now. It is very, very inspiring, but after a few iterations of my setup, I've found that it works best on the floor. Maybe putting on a different selection of knobs so they are easier manipulated by foot would be a huge upgrade for the Cosmos.

I remember exploring old vinyls, there was Terry Riley Poppy nogood and the phantom band, A rainbow in curved air, I still remember this titles, I guess Terry Riley and many of this minimalist bliss era would be very impressed by how you improve the field, very inspired keys and a very clever 'echoes' machine. I agree with all suggesting you make an album on this base! Or if you want to keep it anonymous - I think about the genial 'Rushes' by Fireman alias McCartney, having echo with your work too - there's several web radios, I like a.m.ambient. Anyway sure it would be successful! Edit: ''The sky is blue with a few clouds in it. Five minutes later you look at it again, you are under the impression that nothing has changed, and yet it isn't the same ''

Brilliant demo as ever, Matt! I wonder if Vlad, who is absolutely bonkers(😂) was inspired by Robert Fripp who invented this sound on sound with decay technique but using two tape recorders all those years ago? I've got a Cosmos plus two Lyra 8 synths, the Cosmos is absolutely perfect for ambient music as you've so elegantly illustrated. Will you do a review of the Lyra 8 too?
