Just bought Phas on my xbox last week and after I realized that random map doesn't limit you to the maps you have unlocked I have been pretty much exclusively playing random maps unless I'm playing Tanglewood. Anyways the point of this is that I have noticed a lot of back to back runs both on the same map I just played and also same ghost as well.

I don’t think it’s a bug, since you are technically entering a building and it cuts out because you’re only able to pick up noises inside of buildings. If anything the mechanic is working as intended, but with indoor and outdoor sections that the ghost can be in it is stupid that you can’t hear into or out of the buildings on that map

I remember hearing from Insym as he played maple (probably the old one), the outdoor parts of the campsite maps are basement, and the indoor parts are different floors.

On Sunny Meadows you can hear the ghost outside (in the courtyard) while you’re inside (eg, the chapel) - so I don’t think it’s intentional on the campsite. Also, it doesn’t make logical sense to work that way (how could the parabolic mic pick up the sound *through* the building when it can’t be heard in the building…?)

First time player here. I got to level 30 yesterday and unlocked Nightmare Difficulty. However, I'm no where near skilled enough to figure out ghosts while missing one piece of evidence. The only ones I can get without all the evidence is Banshee cause of the scream and Hantu cause it'll turn off the breaker and I see it's breath during the hunt. It's impressive to see people play like this. Thanks for the tips! I'll farm this map when I get better.

Always try to check for orbs in the truck and take a camera right before the gate to see any potential orbs. If you do see one, it’s automatic mimic if you are doing it with no evidence

@ it doesn’t hurt to try. The orb will show up for a mimic in a no evidence run. I have gotten them which are easy giveaways. Just that sometimes they may be in the back of the map and if you are doing speed runs then this will kill your time if you suspect of a mimic

I like your videos the way they are, if you were trying to teach the blink pattern of the ghost, then it would be understandable to add more light so that it's more clear for the viewer. At the same time, the people who have an issue with the darkness may need to adjust their own brightness/contrast for their screens.

I played seven no evidence runs a couple nights ago on various small maps; I had three Hantus in a row, two Deogens, one Phantom and another Deogen in that order. I usually play with power off so I can spot Hantus easier. Three easy ghost types to identify but still weird. I've been seeing this trend a lot more recently in videos I watch. What I also find interesting is that you had three Phantoms and didn't get stalked at all. I know they stalk rarely compared to Banshees but I think I heard Psycho say that it was around a 30% chance. That was a while ago though, so maybe it's changed. I get stalked by Phantoms fairly frequently and I like it. Stalkers are terrifying! 😁

Hey I just reached level 50 and im trying to find some good xp farm strategies. I tried this one earlier today and I got a few good games but I’ve been struggling with 1) pulling the ghost to the looping spot and 2) identifying ghosts that can’t be easily identified during hunt (like ghosts without unique blinks, speed, etc). If you have any tips you could share that would be awesome

I think it's best to try with a few people. First start with just watching someone loop the ghost while you identify, then you try a few times looping the ghost and see how that goes. Sorry still new to the game, how are you determining what the ghost is by footsteps and blink speed? There are several ghosts who speed up when they get close to the player. Also I can’t tell the blinks apart. Is there anything specific you’re looking for or is there a tool you’re using?

Currently I’m level 17 and have just unlocked Sunny Meadows, but it seems like these XP farming methods are out of my league. My question is what I am supposed to do to rank up fast and unlock all the other tier 2 equipment as well as making it to level 50 in order to unlock the custom mode? It just seems like a huge grind to get there. Then to do it all over again when I prestige? I mean I’d love to prestige and keep doing the XP farm, but if it means losing all equipment only get back to level 50 again (during Prestige 1) then that puts me off. I wish there was another fast XP method for beginner who are still on level 10 - 50. Don’t get me wrong, I can’t wait to eventually do this XP farm but there seems to be a huge prerequisite before it can be done or attempted.

So if I understand correctly, you are asking if custom settings to create a No Evidence gets locked up again after prestiging? If so, the answer is no - the ability to create a custom settings stays unlocked even after resetting your level back down to lvl 1 after prestiging. You do however lose all your money and tier 2&3 items

The tier 1 only blinds the ghost. The tier 2 one slows, blinds, as well as reverse the direction they were walking. Tier 3 stops in place as well as blinds them. The reason why I chose the tier 1 is because certain ghosts movement speed changes when outside of line of sight or when blinded. It's easy to identify them with this smudge.

So there are a couple of ghosts that have the ability to teleport to you - Phantom, Wraith, and Banshee. Having an emf2 go off randomly without anything being touched is a good sign to get the hell out of there, especially if you are playing on Nightmare and above as they usually will initiate a hunt from that location

I made a filter for watching videos. Similar to gamma, it brightens up the dark but without affecting the bright colors as much. Based on my settings for prod80/pd80 curved levels shader in reshade. grey shoulder pos x = 0.39 grey shoulder pos y = 0.433 grey toe pos x = 0.028 grey toe pos y = 0.105

The ability to see the darkest RGB values in a video depends a lot on the codec being played. YT's AVC/H264 encodes are pretty good at keeping details in the darkest 4 RGB values while YT's VP9 gets rid of most of it.

When you smudge a Revenant, their movement speed slows down. Or rather when you are outside of line of sight, they slow down. This is the reason I like to use tier 1 smudge sticks

With a group, the person wishing for knowledge can use the monkey paw bug and knock off two pieces of evidence and make guessing easier if the ghost isn’t obvious. FYI - The paramic can't pick up sounds on different floors. So it's not a bug. On Maple Lodge, the outside is considered "basement" while the building interiors are "1st floor" for the lodge and "1st floor" and "2nd floor" for the cabin. That's why it's cutting out when you go from outside to inside, the game sees you changing floors.
