DUDE, I have a weedy pond now under the surface. We have all been getting skunked there. Put 6” green pumpkin/chartreuse tail on weightless Texas setup…….20 minutes in…..using the method you explained here….BAMMMM……pulled in a 5-6# large mouth bass! My PB and best from that pond as well. I am motivated again, thank you so much. I really enjoy learning from your videos. Bad thing is I left my phone home by accident. I almost cried…..lol

I am jealous as my home lake (smith mtn in va) sprayed all the grass out. Grass is my favorite and makes it much easier to isolate holes for bass. The oxygen, the nutrients, and the shade will always attract fish.

If you haven’t done one already, I would love to see a video showing 8-10 of the best kinds of submergent vegetation. I always get confused by hydrilla vs coontail vs milfoil vs duckweed, etc.

Tyler, I like your videos and tips. You are obviously quite talented when it comes to Bass fishing and knowledge of Bass movement and tendencies. You have in the past produced videos on how to fish ponds. You're correct, ponds are fish in a barrel. I fish a pond that lately has been holding a lot more water than it was last year when I was given permission fish it. Long story short, the grass you speak of that works so well for Bass and feeding, is normally the part of the bank you can't fish unless you have a machete or use a spot where someone else has pushed the weeds over to get closer to the water. These weeds are flowered in the summer and Bees swarm them. Right now, thanks to the "great" weather we are having, they are under water. You can't run dry line without a hook through that crap without pulling in a wad of junk. Crankbaits are out, weedless Jigs wind up weedless gobs of grass and moss, and when you do manage to fish an open area around the weeds, you get nothing. I know you, Doug Hannon, and many other pro and scientific anglers who have had success fishing grass beds are telling us the truth, but in a pond, all Bass see anymore are vegetation of some sort. Mostly moss. How about a video on how to fish a cattle pond full of moss with no discernable cover, no down trees, no cattails, no Lilly pads, just tons of moss, on top of and under the water, and shallow areas where you can see the bottom and see there are no fish in it.

Great stuff ! Love fishing grass . My local reservoir has big boulders in the middle of the grass that creates breaks and they’re fish magnets !!
