I'm from NE Texas, probably the number one summer night lure has got to be the old jitterbug

Well I would say it’s hot here in New Jersey. The thermometer is in the shade and it says 100 degrees. 🥵

90’s here in upstate S.C. Fish are where the bait are plentiful OR where the creeks feed the cooler water, and I mean way up the creeks! The deep bass are singles, but the scopers are still having success. Good content!

Are Carolina rigs good for _muddy-bottom_ ponds? I was told bottom contact baits don't do well on muddy bottoms.

As summer goes on, the fry grow follow the plankton and bigger fish 2 to 3 inches follow along and bigger fish follow those fish etc.

This is exactly what happened at the Wallula Native Kayak Big Bass Power Hour tournament. Several people (particularly the top 10 anglers) commented that they were only catching small fish until they found this one little hole and everything changed. The Winner had only caught 2 fish up until the last 1.5 hours of the tournament when he found an off shore hump that seemed to have all the 16+ inch fish sitting on it. he basically caught and measured them as fast as he could to take home the win. The guy that caught the big fish caught 1 fish lucky for him it was a very big one.

In my river I been finding them in current where its rocky and under overhanging trees lately. Got 7 today on a green pumpkin swim jig, green pumpkin wacky rig and a chrome/ black back squarebill.

Big Texas rigged worm is my go to in the dog days of summer. I always keep Berkley 10" Powerbait power worms on my boat in the summer. Not only are they an absolute magnet for my favorite bass to chase (small mouth) but they just produce when those water temps climb into the 80's and 90's.

Fishing in a non-pressured small lake where virtually nobody goes, March to the third week of May was hot as heck as far as activity with the spawning going on. Mostly shallow large and small sized bass. Third week of May it’s like a light switch was flipped off and you can’t even get a nibble no matter what bait is used or what time in a 24 hr day. Now in June going forward it will be hunt and seek to see where these rascals are in that small unpressured very seldom used lake.

I’m fortunate that most lakes here have steep banks and deep holes in excess of 100 feet. The banks will drop more than a foot of depth for every foot you get from shore. Fish will move up and down those steep banks into 20 to 30 FOW. Makes finding fish easier.

@TylerBergerFishing .. I'm a bank angler.. I don't have a boat.. What is the best Jig for just bank fishing.. A structure Jig, a Pitching/Flipping Jig.. I caught a bass on a jig this month for the first time in my life. That's because I love buying them, but never used them because I didn't have any confidence in it. Now that i caught one.. I love it.. But what is the best type of jig? Thanks

I believe you when you say it's hot where you're at. IT's 111 degrees outside as I'm watching this video. Next week it's forecast to get up to 116 degrees. I always get a kick out of folks on the internet from other parts of the country telling us how hot it is there. In Arizona it can be 100 degrees at midnight when the sun isn't even shining, and that can be with and without humidity.

Here in western WA, people start dying at 90 degrees. We may get 4-10 days over 90, but only 4 to 10 days with highs below 40.

Must be AZ. Can identify. Here N. Texas. The coming 10 day forecast has 98-99 daily. It's brutal. Not that I need to worry about it. All the ramps near me are closed (flooded).

Such a frustrating bait for me. Only hooked one with it so far. Not caught but hooked. Unfortunately I lost him jumping five feet away. Easily my pb.

Hey Tyler. I'm loving all the content. You mentioned you use braid when fishing a swim jig. I'm a bank angler and love to use the jig. Do you use braid for all your jigs inshore?

Good tips!! I can catch on about anything but a big glide bait and a Chatterbait. At one point I took all of them out of my boat. I fish Lake of the Ozarks alot and the ole chatter has never done me well.

Maybe a separate video on whopper plopper, just because it is such a great lure for top water that we did not grow up with. I do recall seeing a pod cast on the subject.

Dude! Finished your video about 8pm CST. Grabbed my lights and headed to my favorite pond. Let me tell you it worked. Used the spinner with a paddle tale and got an 18 inch 3lb bass. The biggest bass I have caught in that pond in two years. Right up by shore.. I caught more, but that was the one. Thank you so much for the video. Now it’s time for bed 🥱

Your channel always makes total 100% sense. Years ago, super hot day in July, bank fishing with a purple ribbon worm , Texas rigged bullet sinker. One of the biggest bass I ever caught at a small overfished not well maintained south central lake.
