@bradwilliams89308 жыл бұрын
Hands like houses has officially made me happy to live in this generation. They prove that going against the grain and straying away from the norm in bands can have a lot of success. they have made s masterpiece. One that grips you by the heart and mind and never lets go. the lyrics in this song are powerful and delivered in a dynamic way. this album is amazing and is certainly not like any other album I've heard. #DissonantForever
@xMiyazakiAkira8 жыл бұрын
+Brad Williams what the fuck but this newer stuff sounds just like everybody else in the genre, ... unlike ground dweller, what are you even talking about
@bradwilliams89308 жыл бұрын
xMiyazakiAkira Listen carefully to the music. They are not doing constant breakdown after breakdown. The lyrics and guitar are still amazing. If you think that this sounds anywhere close to Memphis, we came as Romans, or all the other scene bands then I don't know what genre your listening to. Their guitar needs to be amplified more because You can barely hear any of the stuff he plays. Lyrically this album is amazing and instrumentally. Name one song that this song remotely sounds close to. The chorus is powerful and like I said before is amazing. Thank you for making fun of a positive comment that I made to band that tried so hard to make this album what it is. You just proved to me that you along with many others can't appreciate the talent they have. And that you can't lock up the negativity and make a comment to someone else for liking something they've done. instead of enjoying music you have to label them and compare them everyone. This band has been my BIGGEST inspiration. I am in a band and they inspired me to write from my heart. Have a great day.
@xMiyazakiAkira8 жыл бұрын
Brad Williams thanks for that paragraph I didnt even read it, just the first sentence. they still sound like the radio rock bands and just like everyone else in that genre ....
@xMiyazakiAkira8 жыл бұрын
Brad Williams has nothing to do with breakdowns, i said nothing about breakdowns, they just took all the musical creativity out of it to make it sound repetitive to match other band sounds, i guess to appeal to average peoples minds to sell more records
@bradwilliams89308 жыл бұрын
xMiyazakiAkira Actually read my comments and you'll understand my points. Define creative for me please. Because guess what they are creative and even though this has a heavier sound it is still Hands Like Houses. They have never made anything to appeal to a certain group. If you would read or look at any interview Trenton Has done you will hear him say that they are just making the music they like and hope people will like it. They are still the Hands Like Houses that began. Momentary, Motion Sickness, Degrees of Separation, Glasshouse, Still Water and Colorblind are not close to sounding generic or like others. They all sound like Unimagine. Especially momentary. The lyrical quality and the instrumentals are still different form others. The way he sings and portrays the song is different from all the others. Listen to the whole album and you will not hear any similarities to ANY other band. The synths are no longer there because the guy left to be a music teacher. That was literally the only difference between them and other bands.

sickest song on the album. in my opinion... most under rated band to this date. I feel like these dudes are the "modern rockstars". their musicianship vocals, lyrics.. they all just show signs of that unique quality. Kudos to James Wisner for making this vision that they've given given him, amazing. I can only hope to sit in on a session one day and just see the process of making greatness! +Thomas Dobson pretty sure you're joking. or are you one of those people that were shipping for HLH to go 'heavier' on their previous albums? They can't sound the same as they did before without Jamal. So you can't be serious.
@AMcCann11785 жыл бұрын
@@aznfinest I don't dislike this, but they don't sound as unique anymore. I think a big part is the way the songs are mixed. The guitars are crunchy and more in-your-face and the drums aren't and punchy, and Matt doesn't hammer on the kick as much as the first two albums. The almost complete lack of electronic elements also makes a big difference; I imagine Jamal leaving has a lot to do with that.

i dont understand why bands get so much shit for being similar to another band. Some are almost the same band, but i consider these guys to be different than the other bands in the genre simply because they do it better. Bands in the experimental post-hardcore are going to sound similar.. its the same genre.. If you enjoy the genre, whats wrong with listening to bands that sound similar? btw if you like these guys check out these artists: -conditions -emarosa -miss fortune -to close to touch :)
