I'm just now giving this album a full listen-through and I was not a fan of the brief scream in "I Am," but this is better. Not the most impressive screamer out there, but I think it sounds like it's not full distortion. Like he's screaming through his singing voice instead of it really manifesting as a separate part of his voice.

Granted I love ALL their albums and songs evenly. But this album his you in a different way and is not the same. None of their albums have followed the same formula. Each one sounds completely different from the next and that's what I love. The include bits and pieces from past albums but other than that they constantly evolve. Some people just don't like that though. This album is my favorite. And I can't stop listening. I've had this album since March.

While I disagree on the album front, this is definitely one of the better tracks on Dissonants.

Saw them in Bristol a while ago and in all honestly these recordings don't truly capture the talent this band has! Each one of them is special and the all deserve more attention than they are getting! I've introduced more than 20 people to this band and they've all said they're actually incredible! Their band T-shirt I bought at the gig and the memories I have of the gig have literally got me through so much (trying not to sound clichèd!) easily my fav band even though I consider myself metalhead I've never connected so much with the lyrics in a band's songs before! I hope they see this because they have helped my life and I hope they continue releasing amazing music!

+Ryan Mullen Same. it's aggressive and just brilliant. this album was well worth the wait. in my opinion it's their best. the lyrics are great. and the guitar and drums just add to the greatness. I'm so glad I have it.
@ryanmullen4838 жыл бұрын
totally agree man, although i do struggle to decide between dissonants and ground dweller this one is no doubt more aggressive than they have ever been and i love it
@aree938 жыл бұрын
+Brad William In my opinion nothing beats Ground Dweller.
@bradwilliams89308 жыл бұрын
Dastan Arre sorry for the paragraph. and you are not wrong about that. ground dweller was their roots. but the reason why it didn't get as much attention was because the songs didn't really coincide I love them all but they didn't flow into one another. his voice was also harder to understand. but dissonants every song flows into the next. and the last 6 songs that a lot of people call filler, those songs are like complete deja vu to unimagine. still water is a new a fire on a hill. so on and so forth. what I'm trying to say is that dissonats is just a better constructed album. now Unimagine is still completely different and awesome. from the albums they've made. buts it's not my favorite. 1.) Dissonants 2.) Ground Dweller 3.) Unimagine

I'd recommend for fans to not listen to all of their music one after the other, but rather in different times in their lives. For me, I appreciated their music better by listening to a few songs for one period of time and then listening to the others I never got around to at a later time. In this way, it's like the spirit in their sound reincarnates in each track, which I think is fitting with HLH's purpose about making music that will always live on in a sort of cyclic sense, something that's been discussed in the commentary for Unimagine. The tracks in HLH have definitely made a place for themselves in a lot of pivotal events in my life, and my love for the band has cultivated over time because of those songs. So for everybody else, let the music reinvent itself in your ears just by taking them in one song and one life event at a time.

This band invaded my dreams last year to tell me how much I loved them. True story. 😂
@Saigo4k7 ай бұрын
I found this song randomly and it's breaking me. I'm trying to become stronger for myself to move past my traumas, push for my dreams and change my life against the horrible RNG I was presented with, and I'm worried about someone very dear to me that I'm not even sure I can help no matter how much I love them. I'm the only one that has the power to even try to change the future and I'm afraid I'm not strong enough to make things happen. I feel like life is constantly against me and I'm trying to claw my way out of a current before I drown. I don't want the person I love to end up giving up on their dreams or even their life and I'm fighting so hard for myself and for them. If anyone is reading this, please send strength.

+Wedemworms It's worth the money. The physical copy sounds way better. Yes this in my opinion is their best. I love Every song in this one. But in Ground Dweller, and Unimagine there are like 2 songs I don't care for. Personal preference. This album sadly didn't get the recognition it deserved considering it got kicked of the billboard 200 by Ex's and Oh's. Freaking bull how that's considered rock. Oh well this album is still a masterpiece.
