Hands-on ALL the Rocketbook Orbit Page Packs: There’s a Pack for That!

The Rocketbook Orbit's key differentiating feature is the ability to simply swap out page packs via its magnetic dock. This clipboard design works perfectly for interchanging these page packs, and while they do have a few minor drawbacks, I do really like the system. In this video I take a look at each of the 9 different page packs currently offered. You can find Page Packs on the Rocketbooks website, under the Rocketbook Orbit Sale page (they aren't listed in the store otherwise).

Wow, I was so excited to hear about this product at the beginning, until you talked about the metal binding drawback. I thought the whole point of them would be to combine different styles of pages easily into one book - which would be easy if the metal binding clicked/unclicked. I see that they’re cheaper than the notebooks but otherwise they’re basically just multiple notebooks with different page styles. Seems like a huge oversight / missed opportunity by Rocketbook... But I suppose removing the binding and DIYing with a binder clip or something would suit my needs that way. Maybe the metal binding can be cut open, leaving a small gap? (Would be interested in seeing you attempt this if you’d like!) Idk, I think they should really have a binder-like product. I know the point is to scan pages and reuse them, but quickly swapping in and out pages of different styles / filled pages would be a real plus. I expect I and others wouldn’t need each pack of all 20 pages at once, so taking out the ones I don’t need for the day and leaving them at home or wherever would be much easier than carrying around a folder with the rest. Or, maybe I want only 10 pages, or 30 pages, etc. The folder solution really is bizarre... Plus, if the metal bindings were removable, it could also support different page sizes so you could add smaller pages to a larger clipboard when needed, and just move them back later, etc... Ahhh, a binder would be really convenient and flexible, there’s probably more ideas you could come up with... Adding normal paper pages etc in there, cardboard dividers for sections and so on. I suppose I could just add the notebook pages to a binder, I’ll see if I can find a smaller binder for the executive size notebook or maybe I’ll get the A4 notebook. But the thing is the pad lets you write more easily and the pages could be easily removed to flip around compared to an actual binder. Besides, I personally never scan them anyway, because I use my rocketbook as more of a running to-do list / for reminders, and just erase the tasks I’ve completed... So I probably use up more pages at once because different pages have different tasks and so on.

Oh there are some binder dividers that simply clip in/out. So an alternative to messing with the binding is to cut a line in at the top of the pages where they attach to the binding. Since they’re made of a thick-ish paper and the line part will be protected by the binding I don’t think the pages should slip out much. This would also make it even simpler to remove pages in the middle without flipping up the page etc.

The metallic bindings do have a small slit in them already, as well as a space to pry them open, but I'm hesitant to recommend to everyone in case they over bend the binding because it isn't intended to be opened. Possibly another video in the future on this... Thanks for the suggestions, I'm sure someone at Rocketbook will find this post and find it useful.

I think, generally when you get a pack of weekly planner pages, the idea is that you combine a single one of those with some other types of pages for notes, and then when the planner page invariably wears out from writing in the exact same places every week, you replace it with another from the pack.

I agree with your comment about the cumbersomeness of the page pack swapping. I just received my axis and I was really excited to use it. I got the letter size. But I am already finding it cumbersome and bulky. I was hoping to be able to combine different pages into one as I use them daily. But that is not an option. The metal pieces do not open. I hope Rocketbook comes up with a solution for this. I love my other notebooks. Maybe I should’ve stuck with those

Thanks Bryan, I definitely think this is the future of Rocketbook - for at least the next few years. Though, I still think the best page pack is the Dot Grid paired with a Sharpie... making your own templates is the best 'experiment' I ever took with my Rocketbooks.

Love your Videos. Here is a cool thing I did with my Orbit. I have a customer form I use at every job. I took out a few pages and copied my form onto the Legal pad side. it is perfect. I only use this for to get all there details and toss it out. now I can just wipe the page. YEAH...

I can’t find them for any size of the orbit, and the pro is sold out of that page pack too. I wish they saw this trend in demand and increased production of that style of page packs.
