Thank you very much for this suggestion, for months I have been looking for an alternative to write on paper and export to one note that was not expensive. I really appreciate the videos you make. Greetings from Spain

Seems like a LOT of trust and access to be giving Rocketbook (a third-party cloud service)--perhaps especially, but not limited to a corporate environment. What would be really nice is for OneNote to be able to translate your scanned handwriting into handwriting strokes and/or being able to OCR your handwriting as it would do natively if you were say writing on a Surface device or similar.

Hi Jeff - Yes, data privacy is always a concern when using tools like this. As for transcribing the handwritten notes within OneNote, I tried it with notes imported from Rocketbook and unfortunately, it did not do a good job. Using the tool provided by Rocketbook faired much better.

@@AndyPark365 I cannot figure out how to use the transcribe feature, it doesn't show up in settings under OCR :(

Thank you. Eyes opening solution!. I love using One Note but sometime typing into One Note during the meeting can be annoying (keyboard sound) and sometimes misunderstood as not paying attention to the meeting, so I have to use paper and pen in the meeting. I sync both systems by taking a picture of paper note and attach to one note, this rocket notebook is way of doing it smarter… i wish it can read my handwriting 😂

I just got done watching a Video you posted about 3 months ago, Thank you for the help on (Deleting Duplicate Files, Folders) Great Video. I am still having a problem figuring out something. Situation is I built my own PC, added in 1 NVME 500GB 960 Pro Samsung and then had a 1TB SSD 850 EVO Samsung Drive and then added a 2TB WD HD for bulk storage and back ups. Originally I had the windows OS on the 1TB SSD 850 EVO since that was the only way I could get the OS on there to get the PC started up. Just so you know I am at level 0 tech Knowledge when it comes to Software stuff, but the actual building of the PC I can do. when I built this PC I put in all 3 drives at the start up. later learned to only put in 1 get it running then add more. so later I bought a WD 1 TB NVME SSD since my MOBO will hold 3 SSD NVME drives. Yep you guess it...I messed up again. Adding the new drive I had problems with the restart and ending up Adding a new Windows 10 OS to the new WD 1 TB NVME Drive , I was attempting to put the OS on the 500G SSD 960 Pro. and then move all my files to the WD 1TB Nvme drive. Anyway I copied everything to my 2TB HD and now im stuck with 2 OS on my PC and Cant figure out how to Delete them both and just get the OS on to my 960 Pro. Just seeing If this would be a good Video/Content for you to make since ive tried looking and not much out there on this. Or maybe im the only 1 that has done this and need to go see a PRO..

Hi Andy, Great video, as always. I'm curious, though -- is there really much benefit in using this versus using a regular piece of paper and scanning it into OneNote? Happy Thanksgiving, and please keep the informative and interesting videos coming!
@AndyPark36511 ай бұрын
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well. I would say the benefit is marginal. It boils down to convenience. I use the OneNote app on my phone to capture my paper notes all the time. But I usually need to edit the scanned image like cropping or pinning the corners to have a clean scan. Then I need to name the scan and choose where I want to save it. None of these are hard to do. But if you find yourself handwriting notes often, then it makes sense to have a "dedicated" notebook that will automate much of this. The grid dots on the page helps with the perspective control of the scan, and the auto title and auto destination saving is useful. Not to mention that this notebook costs not much more than a traditional notebook and is reusable... 😀

I've used this Rocketbook with Evernote. It's great in concept and a total waste of money in implementation. After using the page one time and you erase it, even if you use a cleaning solution, and a recommended erasable pen, it will leave marks that does not go away. It just looks like a nasty notebook if you try to use the pages a second time. Save your money and frustration and waste your money on something else, like a coffee or Bobba tea.

My rocketbooks erase very cleanly with the water and microfiber cloth. I have heard from others NOT to use the pen erasers on the rocketbook's paper, because they will strip the coating that allows the page to wipe clean. I don't think I would ever try any cleaner either, since water works fine and available everywhere. I'm glad I came across this info because logically, I figured you can just erase with an eraser like anything else.
