At the 2020 NAMM Show, we talked with Jackson of Modal Electronics, who gave us a demo of the production Argon8 synthesizer, and introduced two new versions of the new synth.

The 002 still has an analog signal path to die for, especially the overdrive. The Argon8 is great though.

For its price range it kills synths almost the double. I had the very first one released in europe long before they start making reviews of it the original size ones Sold it. 9 months later miss it Bought this one now

It’s so strange that we are getting analog synths these days with sequencers and multitimbrality but digital synths like this and the HydraSynth seem to totally ignore these features. Although this does have a sequencer it’s just weird I can’t do splits on a digital synth and there’s also no hold function for the arpeggiator. Just weird little things like that seem to be oversights.

This synth sounds simply very good and it's for players. For me clearly better than Super6. And very nice presentation. Again much better than from UDO.
