for me i have the iphone 12 pro max pacific blue color. or i can wait for the iphone 16 pro max or the iphone 17 pro max. or i could wait until the iphone 18 pro series. coming in 1 to 3 years and maybe a full screen/ display. and also thin bezels for the iphone series. is it worth it to upgrade to the iphone 15 series with usb-c ports cables.

Yh that's a Apple thing, they want to remain unique to its android counterparts, dynamic island isn't as used for the innovation part but to keep their Apple's unique identity

I've watched every hands on video and no one is launching the camera via the action button while the phone is UNLOCKED. I wanted to know if you need to unlock it with face id before you can use it or if it jumps directly into the camera?

Well, replacing a gaming console depends on if Apple lets us have Displayport Altmode from the USB-C port. And also, you need a chonky 20W peltier cooler and bypass charging if you dont wanna kill your battery. My 14 Pro Max had 100% battery health until june, then it crashed to 965 in august due to 5G and too much screentime(vacation). Even though I've only charged to 100% literally less than ten times.

Nintendo Switch doesn’t do display port over USBC, I don’t think. The dock does hdmi out. Since the dock is USBC, it would be interesting to see if you can plug an iPhone into the Nintendo switch dock.

one catch, the smaller bezels will probably make it harder to touch something on the edge of the screen. (think video slider if you want to restart from the beginning) without a case, probably not as big of an issue.

I wish there was a way to setup a dead-zone with an adjustable size along the edge of the screen, that prevents us from accidental touching the display corners, or disable the dead-zone whenever we need the full touchable area.

That doesn’t make sense. The display is the same size. It’s the frame around it that’s smaller. So it’s incrementally easier to reach across the screen since there’s less bezel between your hand and the display.

most probably yes, they downgraded the battery for cost cutting. A 3nm chipset is more efficient, and it's gonna use less power from battery. but iPhone 14 pro max and 15 pro max show the same battery backup. it means they downgraded the battery on 15 pro max. but you're gonna get same backup as 14 pro max

tbh i think this is the year i finally switch from android to iphone, i swore to never use samsung again after getting frustrated by it's ridiculous double apps and software, and pixel software is amazing but battery life could be better, so i think it's time to try out the apple side

I switched back to iPhone after using S22 ultra and then pixel 7 pro.. the experience is so much more streamlined on the iPhone. I do miss the file management of android but the pros of iOS outweigh that

we don't know that for sure. they didn't really mention anything about battery in the presentation, but my assumption is that due to the a17 chip's power efficiency the 15 pro series will have better battery life and the overall battery health won't degrade as fast as the 14 pro

Still hate apple for forcing us to no charger down when purchasing a new phone. I had no usb c charger and had to buy one. Now when I upgrade I can throw away all my lightning accessories and repurchase them with a usb c port. Good but so effing late…. There’s always something with an archaic company like Apple nowadays. For this normal this is my view on the new Apple iPhone 15, and 15 Pro. Pundits, and Apple's MAJOR FAIL over time was not pushing for, and Apple using the latest USB standard. Apple iPhones have had the same lame USB-2 data rate lightning port introduced back on September 12, 2012. Ancient in PhD Robert Metcalfe "The Father of Ethernet" (inside joke) technology years. He often told me..."The amount of change in our industry (computer/local area networks) in six months is equal to a decade in any other industry". So feel Apple putting USB-C type connector with only USB 2 data rate is a MAJOR FAIL. Since it is a USB-C port Apple should have put at least put 5GB 3.0 data rate in the standard iPhone 15 product line. Would have liked ThunderBolt/USB4 40GB data rate in the Apple 15 Pro since USB4 standard was released in 2019. I am okay with USB 3.1 10GB data transfer rate. I own a Apple iPhone 11 Pro. Waiting to see if the new Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max will support a USB C hub that will let me to put together a rig with power input, USB audio/microphone input (optional), USB ThunderBolt/USB4 SSD storage. If so I feel I could purchase a new Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max to record family events coming up this fall, and winter. Would love to future proof the recordings by using the new spatial video feature. That and if I can store the data on an external USB ThunderBolt/USB4 SSD. I could then hook it up to my Apple M1 MacBook Air to edit, and store the projects on that device. No reason to wait while I transfer the data to my Mac to edit it. "Action Button" for this normal it will be the return of the "Home" screen button/sensor. On my iPhone 11 Pro still to this day more times than not can not get the swipe up to work. So it is swipe, swipe, swipe up until it returns to the "Home" screen. Sorry Apple FineWoven Case with MagSafe just not my cup of tea. At $ 59.00 might have looked at purchasing one if it came in "Product Red", and supported that project. So from now on looks like third party leather, or vegan leather cases for me. Love the feel of leather, or vegan leather over the years. Are animals killed for just making leather products? No, hides come from animals raised for food. This accounts for 99% of the world's leather. Feel the reason Apple is going away from leather products is the processes used to tan, the leather. Let's just say not so eco-friendly at this time.

And still didn't change the dynamic island to use notifications across the board. It's a horrible design as it really doesn't do much of anything. Oh you can see sports scores.. umm ok. How about you get a text message and it expands to show you that? Nah we can't do that.. oh but phone calls.. yep that shows up. iOS is a mess and complete inconsistent. They need a full overhaul of all their software. Get rid of everything and start fresh.
