Join me for the unboxing of my three brand new Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch Speedmaster watches; Mission to The Sun, Mission to Mars and Mission to Venus! The hype has been immense, but what are they like in person? It's time to talk watches.
Over the years you've seen many different watches in my wrist, from my large collection of Swatch pieces, to a Rolex Daytona, and it's time to showcase these right here on my new channel dedicated just to the topic. I've got a lot to learn but I'm excited to find out and share it all with you, so come along for the journey and let's see what we can find.
The Omega x Swatch collaboration has been one of the most hyped marketing product launches of all time, with the Omega Speedmaster design brought into a timepiece made with Swatch Bioceramic material, and available for just £207/€250/$260. However, that's also brought huge demand, massive crowds, chaos and fighting, for people to get their hands on them as early as possible. Longer term, it will not be a limited product, stocks will come through and everyone will be able to purchase one, however for now they are almost like gold dust and very hard to come across.
Let's get these out of their boxes and have a proper chat about them, what the story is and what are they actually like in a hands-on unboxing.

I always have a soft spot for the Sistem51 because back in my college year around 2013 2014 the Sistem51 was my gateway into mechanical watches around $150. Like you said, although their design could be out of this world but you can’t deny their impact on the watch world. Well played Tim

I’ve got two Speedmasters, a cal 861 and cal 1861. I also have the Moonswatch Mission to the Moon, which I bought for its novelty value, and I love wearing it! It’s accurate, looks great and very comfortable to wear.

I stayed 9hrs in line to pick mine up on release day with plans on keeping my MISSION TO JUPITER! But after looking at the prices they were reselling for I sold mine for 1200 in 5 min on ebay! lol I will just pick me up another one when they are available online.

Why not pay for my time spent and a watch for free for myself. I already got myself another one today and am not selling it... I can say. I just felt like grabbing one today not realizing the hype was so real. I was super lucky. I got the Sun. It was the only one left. I still want Earth, Venus, and Uranus, but I could only get one for now. I'll get the others again when I'm in the store. But there isn't a better watch, as an astronomy nerd. However...there is another very interesting Casio watch I'm getting that gets me just as hyped.

What a great channel idea! After seeing so many swatches throughout the Shmuseum videos I was hoping for something like this. As my nearest swatch store is some 3500km away I was never in with a chance on release but after hearing they'd be in continuous production and available online I can't wait to get my mitts on a mission to Mars. I can believe it's pretty cheap, but the shipping alone costs more than that, let alone the staff time to sell it to you in the shop, and their rent, so that's not strictly true.

I have that NASA Space Race Swatch I later saw you wearing as well. Tbh, I'm not a big Swatch fan, they're fun toys, but the build quality, the finish, the precision, the sound... not great, not even for the money. I'd love me a MoonSwatch though, they're really something! I didn't camp outside the store, but I visited in the afternoon after the dust settled and got to seem them. I'd really love me a Mercury above anything! The Mission to the Moon and Mars are very cool as well.

I only had one Swatch watch back in the 80’s I think it was called Follow Me it had a yellow bezel, black perforated strap and a green altimeter design on the face. To think those watches brand new were only £25.

Hello Tim. Did you had trouble with transferring the colour from the watch case to your wrist? I've seen a lot of complaints, especially for the blue colour from the Mission to Neptune model. Thank you!
