NOTHING like the obnoxious iggles idiots who yell and scream like being from philly is all that's required to be domineering and loud - so happy we crushed them in their own backyard! I have been anticipating this Ravens/Niner game all season and it's finally here. This is gonna be worth all the hype! The Ravens aren’t those two teams. The Cowgirls and the Divas… The Ravens cut from a different cloth. The 49ers may be the favorites, but the Ravens rarely get blown out. Their secondary and overall defense is better than both the Eagles and Cowboys. Didn’t the Santa Clara team lose to the Browns and Bungles. ? Spare me on the injuries. For the last 10 seasons the Ravens have been amongst the most injury prone teams in the NFL. This year aside. With losing TE1 and RB1 and with another RB1 fine for the season. The OL has been beat battered and torn all season. Unlike the Santa Clara team … the Ravens don’t make excuses for losses when some of their top guys are down. They just go out and expect to win. No excuses. There will be none next week. I don’t do guarantees much but I guarantee that it won’t be a blowout.

The Ravens and The Bills have had terrible injury situations ad the Chiefs are a year too sooon with their young receivers. San Francisco have a complete squad that only lost games when a couple key guys were out. Baltimore have had games this year when seven starters have been out and games like the Browns where Stanley went out mid-game and we stopped running and put Gus Edwards in pass protection inviting a come-back

Thank you Rich for being objective enough and most importantly, professional enough to speak the truth. I have always been someone who can be objective enough to yes, call out my own teams, players, etc. I take pride in that because I’ve coached this sport for years and know what I’m talking about. Re: Brock Purdy… yes, the moment I saw this kid in our preseason last year, I knew we had something special - albeit, Brock displaying his potential against backups in preseason. That said, he showed “it” - he clearly showed a leadership capability along with his limited attempts in the preseason… but I saw something that clearly resonated in me that, “Whoa this kid reminds me of Joe!” I grew up watching Joe Montana and Bill Walsh and company - they were an absolute machine, annihilating teams on Sundays at 1:05pm. Brock Purdy, after playing essentially one season now, is most definitely, EXACTLY like Joe Montana! The only thing that will ruin a second “Joe Montana era,” is Kyle Shanahan. Kyle is a great offensive mind - a great X and O’s coach… but he was… was a horrible communicator/leader of men. I called him out constantly on his shortcomings as a man, a proper communicator, a leader of men. But,he seems to have finally - hopefully, turned that corner for good. If Kyle does his job and protects Brock Purdy, literally, by finally fielding a permanently dominant Offensive Line, we are looking at a new era of multiple - multiple SB wins! Like I’ve said it before re: Brock Purdy… the savior is in the building! Kyle and 49ers brass simply need to protect him - and the results will be incredible! GO NINERS!!!

Lamar's big advancement is him looking to pass first up until the line of scrimmage, which totally destroys defenses. He is now a quarterback who is mobile instead of being an athlete who plays quarterback. He is scary for any opponent.

They say Purdy's numbers don't pop - the total yards and total TDs might not; but the TD-to-turnover ratio is exceptional, and ALL of the efficiency stats are otherworldly. He's top-5 all-time in a number of time, to include YPA and QB rating. I'd say those stats pop.

I don't understand why Lamar is being considered a serious MVP candidate, aside from being a high profile QB on the currently winningest team in the AFC. He's having a "good" season for a team with a great defense. I keep hearing people say that he's the only reason they're winning. No...they'd not be winning save for their defense, & you can say that about any QB in some respect, they all, of course, need help. Brock on the other hand is also winning, at the same rate right now, but is having a historic QB season. I just don't get why so many are so high on Lamar for MVP, & I just don't get why so many are so low on Brock for MVP.

Same here as a Ravens fan. The Miami and Pittsburgh games mean more as far as 1 seed goes. But still, this is a good test this late in the season. Unrelated note: I actually grew up a 49ers fan before the Ravens came to Baltimore. Big fan of the Steve Young-Jerry Rice Superbowl team.

Great game between two incredible teams. Im a Niner fan so no bias when i say Lamar is better than hes ever been. Biggest factor is hes more patient, not so quick to scramble. Also he is better at reading defense and it seems his leadership skills have improved. If he could just work on his accuracy, thats the only weakness in his game

This Niners team is NOT the 2019 Niners. So anybody who's trying to compare that game to this year is going to be in for a rude awakening. These teams are not those teams. Lamar is more of a thrower (but still runs quite a bit), Brock is waaaaaay more of a thrower (than Jimmy), and we didn't have Trent or McAffrey in 2019. Whoever wins this game, will be the odds on favorite for SB (I don't care what the Bills do).

Sure lol. The Bengals surprised the Jags and the whole NFL with how their backup is playing. They didn’t have multiple games of him to film study so he played well. Maybe the Jags played really well on Defense against the Ravens because this game was a huge game for both teams but for them especially. @@mytwosense9135 I think it was Vegas with the lights, but the NFL with the bad officiating (hold on the 2nd half kick off return for a TD, no hold on the final 4th down throw to Crabtree). The Ravens look like they deserved the win as they started out fast and the Niners had no pass rush to get to Flacco. It really sucks, as I think the Niners team that went into Foxborough several weeks prior and won would've beat the Ravens, but wasn't the same health.

Lamar, from a national perception perspective, became a victim of Baltimore's offensive Philosophy. He could have been doing this years ago, but they just wanted to run him into the ground, because the Ravens haven't cared about the passing game since Vinny left. Lamar had to put their feet to the fire, just to get Monken, Odell and Zay, and now people are waking up to just how good he is.

As a Ravens fan, this test against the 49ers isn't good. Our tackles aren't doing good.. our home run Hbs are gone. And some of our best players are nicked up. We absolutely need to be at our best, or we're going to get hurt more. Personally, I'd sit most of our first string players to save them for the playoffs.

Here's my take... Lamar is an incredible dual, maybe more than dual, threat QB. But he's an outstanding individual player. Brock unlocks and unleashes his TEAM. His top QB play in the league - his poise, his field vision and quick defensive reading, his target anticipation, his accuracy and touch - is bringing out the BEST of his players. CMC is playing at his career PEAK. Deebo is playing at his career PEAK. Aiyuk is playing at his career PEAK. Kittle is possibly also having his best year. Even Shanahan I think is finding that Brock is boosting and enhancing Kyle's play calling. Brock Purdy has been a force multiplier. In the end there's only so much that an individual talent, even a freak athletic individual talent like Lamar Jackson, can do in a TEAM SPORT. Yes, of course, Lamar is certainly not the only talent on that excellent Ravens team. They have strong players at every position on both sides of the ball and thus are indeed the only real threat it seems to the 49ers. But the 49ers have overall stronger players on both sides of the ball - and a QB that may not be the athlete that the Raven's QB is, but has his own gifts and talents at that position that brings out the best of everyone around him including the best playmakers on his team. The Ravens will be a tough, physical team that is going to try to run the ball down the 49ers throats to open up a shoot-out game. They will have more luck at it than others. But in the end they just won't have enough to overcome this 49er juggernaut. 49ers 34-24, assuming either Armstead or Hargrave (at least one of them) plays. May both teams play their best and avoid injuries! GO NINERS!!!

@@PD-qu8dq Ravens defense did show up to play - and play well they did. Lamar "carving up" the 49er defense? Meh. Not so much. For 5 turnovers and over 100 yards lost by the 49ers due to penalties, Lamar and the Ravens offense should've scored a lot more. Give the 49ers 5 TO's and 100 yards and they'll add 50 points to the scoreboard. I still stand by my main point - that Lamar is an outstanding freak athlete, but an incredible individual player in a team sport. While Brock Purdy does not have the same athletic abilities, he is a far greater force multiplier for his team - really unleashing all the skill players around him and the play caller, boosting all of their performances. Purdy has been the catalyst for FOUR teammates to achieve 1,000+ yard seasons!!! (With one of those four actually having a 2,000+ yard season.) I would generally bet on a great team enhancing QB over a great individual player QB in a team sport. I might not win the bet all the time, but I think most of the time. I hope we get a rematch in the SB.
