I'm a MD. Back when we were still in college, there was a rule for all the gents to never pretend you were already a "finished" doctor when talking to women because it was considered "cheating" - for it is a pretty good way to make an impression on random people. That being said, I have NEVER met a dentistry student/dentist in my entire life who would introduce themselves simply as a "doctor". That's how you know he's either full of himself or is seething because he didn't make it into medicine even though he thought he (obviously) deserved it. Also, regarding to him showing up in scrubs to the show: he's full of shit. I've yet to hear of a dental emergency that doesn't allow you to change your very easily changeable scrubs into street clothes for two minutes. The only type of dentist to have life-threatening emergencies I know of is the oromaxillar surgeon - but he holds both MDs in dentristry and medicine, the latter not being mentioned. In summary, this man is cringe.
