Stray Kids are incredibly talented. Interesting fact, Back Door was chosen as one of TIME's '10 Best Songs of 2020' (only Kpop song that made that list).

and skz wasn't nominated for any awards at mama 2020. D' some and Han-C always talk abt how skz mix so many genres, that's mala taste genre and they've been doing this since 2017 (predebut). As they're the 18th (or 19th if you consider 3racha as a separate group) group to debut, they are one of the first groups in 4th generation doing this (4 of the other 17 groups disbanded and 3 of them are in hiatus). In mama 2020 there was the category "pioneer of mala-taste flavor song". mnet used the term 'Mala Taste' on other groups which was exclusively used by K-media to describe SKZ' music, and as I said above, skz was not nominated for any awards, which includes the "mala-taste pioneer" title (so this title is not their's officially), in the same year as All In, God's Menu, and Back door were released. Funny huh?

Back Door arrangement is totally sophisticated in genre blending. Jazz adds so much more sonic ear gem. SKZ even made a jazzier Back Door for an year end performance in 2020. When my ears pick up jazz chores in a song, it always gives my spine a tingle.

U guys should check out their Experimental song "Tortoise and Hare" ( its such a funny song that only skz can pull off) Also the Fun fact abt 3racha Chan who always produces the tracks, He does write lyrics tho .. While Changbin and Han write the lyrics , ofc they all sit together and work together. The amount of time and effort they put into for making awesome music is something that moves stays and want us to be greatful to them🤧

Stray Kids are coming back! ODDINARY album, March 18th 1pm kst/ 12am est Back Door is definitely one of a kind, it was such a switch up after God’s Menu, and they both carry their own high energies in their own ways. And even tho God’s Menu was spicy and hip hop heavy and in your face, Back Door brings this funky upbeat jazz style mixed with edm that just makes you want to join them. It makes a lot of sense from a geographical music standpoint for them incorporating a lot of edm into their music as EDM is really big in Australia which is where Bang Chan grew up and seeing as he is the one that mainly produces the beats it makes sense that he would get inspiration from music that he grew up around and listened to when he was still living in Australia I don’t think it would be nearly as edm based if he had lived in Korea as it usually doesn’t work very well in standard k-pop like you guys mentioned I think the fact that Chan grew up in an area that had such a strong edm scene it comes through in his production style and the music he creates it’s one of the things I absolutely love about stray kids because I really love edm as well as like rock and hip-hop especially Korean, Japanese, and Chinese rap and hearing them mix a bunch of genres I absolutely love together just makes it really enjoyable to listen to and their lyrics are absolutely top notch they are probably some of my favorite lyricists along side BTS because their lyrics are so powerful and meaningful when they need to be but also incredibly clever with really good word play and references to pop culture they are definitely one of those groups that once you get into them it’s hard to stop listening to because they are all so talented

I'm new to your channel , saw you reacting to Deja Vu. I stan Ateez & SKZ. Since you're into music production & unique sounds you have to listen to Ateez songs because so much of it is unconventional! SONGS:SAY MY NAME. PIRATE KING (hangeul), HALA HALA, HALAZIA. That's just a taste! Although Hong Joong does write some of the songs, they don't have a 3racha equivalent. There production team is called Eden-ary. They are unlike any other, as well. Normally, kpop groups debut & you can see their sound & the artist mature, but Ateez came out the gate HOT! Their songs don't get progressively 'better' per se, but richer. They don't really recycle music, but they do stay true to their 'multi-verse/multi-dimensional pirate theme. I can't wait to see your reactions!
