@Elizabeth Gómez What an idiotic statement. Just because you haven’t heard of ‘Stray Kids’ doesn’t mean nothing. There’s many videos contradicting your statement. Even if they’re not mainstream in America doesn’t mean they’re not popular in other countries. Heck kpop has more views on many videos than most artists. The ‘Animals’ beat drop, the beat is not even similar nor in the same tempo. Many people love to say artists there copy. Pathetic. On top of that there’s a thing called sampling. Many songs beats are sampled from others all over the word. And EDM and dub step mixes have similar drops and beats also so even with a the clicking sound ‘Back Door’ is different. And good for them they produce music along with their company, they’re music artists. Even if you don’t like them, talking shit doesn’t making you look smart nor good. You just made yourself look dumb. So stop trolling fans comments, or just go ahead and sound more dumb. Your choice.

@Elizabeth Gómez I am a fan of literally many artists there. Plus one of my main favorites is BTS. It’s not a copy but keep telling yourself that. Sounds like you’re just trying to start a fandom war to me. I literally don’t care if you don’t like them. But making up plagiarism has literally no place in this song. But even if there was plagiarism, which it’s not, then it would have been addressed by now. Even if you tell me I’m blinded by a a group, ha funny one, your comment is literally recycled Karen crap anti fans use to bring down fans or other artist. But thanks for the comment, it just literally shows how blind and ignorant you are. Bye hun, I have my own life to live than to argue with a anti fan. Yawn.

The 'rotating doors' choreo is inspired by a popular Korean children's play, 동대문을 열어라 (Dongdaemuneul Yeoreora; Open Dongdaemun) where a row of players go through the "Dongdaemun" made by 2 'its' while they sing the song with the same title as the name of the game. When the song ends, the 'its' close Dongdaemun and the person who gets trapped in between them loses the round. 동대문 Dongdaemun literally means Great Eastern Gate, and its another name is 흥인지문 (Heunginjimun). It is one of the Eight Gates of Seoul in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, which is a historical landmark.
@dharling974 жыл бұрын

The choreography that passes through the revolving door is actually an adaptation of a game that can be called a traditional Korean play, which is a game where people sing "Open Dongdaemun, Open Namdaemun, Close at 12 o'clock" and catch children who pass by then and many elementary school students in Korea do it.I think this choreography is very unique, and it's also an interesting part of this song. +I used a translator and I hope the translation is accurate.

Henry jamming hard is so cute. Also Kevin as always. SKZ have great releases recently -- I mean they always have, but it's crazy how they can always make something new and fresh, like they literally have their own sound and color that literally came from them as they're self-producing idols.

Late as hell but I just want to say that I love that I can get so many easily overlooked insights into the music and the choreography from this channel. The fact that there is definitely a huge big band/swing undertone to this song was completely lost on me until the two dancers pointed out the jazz dances they were incorporating. Now all I can hear is the crazy huge, high energy modern day big band banger. Unreal.

LOVE the addition of the dancers react!!!!! I'm so happy that there was a dancer/choreographers addition to this video because I think that this choreo was LEDGENDARY for straykids and I really thought the reactors brought up some cool points that I hadn't thought of (jazz inspired). I hope this wasn't a one time thing becasue I really love the idea of having dancers on this channel to further add to comments of the art displayed in this video and kpop in general. Love all the videos, thanks for all the content Umu and everyone else at ReacttotheK!!

Backdoor has probably one of my favorite kpop choreography I've ever seen! I thought it was really clever and aligned strongly with the song so well. It was nice hearing from dancers too! so interesting!

So interesting to see you all identify all the inspirations (Charleston, Michael Jackson. etc) !!! Considering how many times I watched the dance practice, I can't believe I didn't notice - before it was mentioned here - that when they split off in the choreo the ones in background are still doing subtil moves haha So much of the stuff talked about in the video, we (average watchers) don't have the expertise to notice at all, so it's great to have people experienced in music (and dance, here) willing to be with ReactToTheK and verbalize what they see, I'm really thankful !!

This makes me so so so so happy. I wish that all people could understand that music has no language! It’s all about meaning you know? The fact that K-POP isn’t about sex, money, & drugs really touches my heart. They sing about life, youth, and relatable experience. But it makes me very happy to see people appreciating the music whether it’s in English or not.

I really love listening to how the dancers see it and listening to their references. I remember Felix saying to pay attention to the choreography.It looked familiar, especially the broadway-esque part, but hearing it organized my thoughts .
