In Schwanheim in southern Palatinate, Michael Ruppert and his family have been running a small sheep farm for over 30 years. Once a year, the animals are sheared. Then begins an elaborate process to get rid of 12 months' worth of residue and process the wool by hand. Michael Ruppert shows how much patience and skill it takes to turn it into homespun yarn and finally a cardigan - and why the end result is a small marvel of nature.
