No Computer enhancements, editing, or auto tuning are ever used in any of my videos. It is just me playing LIVE into my microphone while the Karaoke plays.

Caleb- I am so glad that you are pleased with this Professional rendition. I am 70 years old and started Handwhistling in 1965. There is almost 60 years of experience that went into this from using Professional Diaphragmatic breath control to pressurizing the air stream to play my long phrases on one breath. I don't use any computer enhancements, no editing and of course no auto tune. It is a LIVE PERFORMANCE playing directly into my microphone and the Karaoke playing at the same time. I started practicing in 1965 and am the Original Pioneer of Handhwislting and selling the idea that the Control of the Wind and Breath Control is more important than a Reed or an Instrument. There is nothing more important the control of the TONE. Hello hollowdreamer- Thank you for stopping by and for you mice compliments. Almost sixty years of practice went into my skill as a Handwhistler and I started practicing in 1965. I n 1969 I stated working on my Professional Diaphragmatic Breath Control and pressurizing my air stream to pressurize the air stream and hold out my phrases much longer. In the five years after that I perfected almost every aspect of Professional breathing and developed a two and a half lung wind capacity. I am the Original Pioneer of Handwhistling. Check out my Tonight Show appearance in 1979 that I was invited to be on. That is up in two parts on my Channel as are my Tonight Show again in 2001 and many other Shows including Evening Magazine, Philly After Midnight, Don Polec's World and three hundred videos. I had the first Handwhistling article published in 1978 in Woodwind World Brass and Percussion Magazine which went to 50,000 readers in 70 Countries at the time. I did all that without any Social Media, No Cell phones, we used expensive Telex(it became Fax) I sold the idea that the control of the Wind is more important than a mouthpiece, reed or an instrument. I started Handwhistling in 1965 and am the Original Pioneer of the Art Form. I sold it to the American Public through lecture demonstrations and performances all over without Social Media to help me. I used the landline, no computers, had my Parents drive me places until I was old enough to drive. I got in front of anyone who would listen and let me perform and show my skills. I have the respect of the other 10,000 Handflute, Hand Ocarina, and Handwhistlers out there all around the World on all different proficiency levels. I play numerous other instruments and have a Professionally trained voice and piano and keyboard. I still have a more expressive tone than most of the others and have a very large volume level. Hey Ben, wonderful performance! I read your comment in your newest video about being concerned about your KZbin views, and here is my thought.... Notice how this video received over 5 times as many views as your other videos? Do you know why? My guess is because you balanced the sound beautifully between the sound track and your handwhistling. In your other videos your handwhistling is overpowering especially in the higher registers and it sometimes even hurts to listen to. I'm being brutally honest out of goodness because I care about you and want to encourage you to step it up qualitywise. It's an amazing feat to play these songs so perfectly with just your hands, but honestly if the sound quality/balance is bad people will not listen as long, and since KZbin's algorithm for recommending your video to viewers is mostly based on watch time, you will get fewer views. So, whatever you did here, soundwise, my advice is to use those settings again for your next performance, and your handwhistling will SHINE! Your friend, Jeremy

Jeremy, thank you for your comments. It made no sense about this video being so high with the views when I just placed my Handwhistling as lightly as possible above Vera's recording. I have a new condenser micorphone that somehow gave me this balance. No microphone is consistent with the way it balances out no matter where I place it on the desk. I don't have any board to adjust anything and don't want the anxiety that goes with it. I am in horrible pain most of the time with all the damage in my Lumbar Spine. This was not a hard video to Handwhsitle. Habanera is brutally difficult compared to this one. I will stop complaining and try to only post videos that are more balanced. At this point in my life, I shouldn't be upset with my views. I know all that I put into each phrase, all my expressiveness and experience and beautiful tone. I will take those complaints down now. I just don't understand why the numbers are going up and down on the videos by as much as thirty or forty views for no reason when analytics says that they are where they used to be! Jeremy, what is wrong with my video, "Teach me Tonight". It is balanced, rich and the best that I can do and only got 104 views. What could I have done differently? Stay well and happy in 2024!

enolp- I know that it was used for Communication thousands of years ago just like pucker whistling or putting two fingers against your tongue to whistle. I used only Professional Techniques making mine a full musical instrument. I don't use any computer enhancements, no editing, no auto tune.........just me playing either by myself into the microphone or playing the Karaoke WITH my Live performance at the same time both going into the Microphone together. My Microphone cost only about $150. My expressive vibrato and dynamics are all done with my Professional Diaphragmatic Breathing Techniques utilizing my two and a half lung wind capacity. I pressurize the air Stream to hold out my long phrases for as long as twenty seconds on one breath to keep the continuity of the musical thought. I work very hard from beginning to end, creating as I go along, much of the time only listening to the Karaoke once or often not at all before recording. I know the songs in my head and read the words from the screen.
