How do horses handle repetitive procedures like stalling and unstalling frequently over and over again?

If a loud sound or something startles the horse they could spook and jump into you or knock you up against the wall. It’s just too small of a space that you can’t get out of the horses way.

Close stalling a horse is bad for the horse in so many ways.

I guess I just don't understand the belief that you should not walk your horse into the stall. Essentially just walking all the way into the stall with the horse following you, walking a circle around the stall so you are now near the entrance, unbridling, exiting and shutting the gate. You should be safe inside your horse's stall, no?

Dan Moretti For the same reason it is safer to send a horse into a trailer than to lead them in. It is just a safer practice.

@@serenityhorsemanship3365 You don't want your horse following you into a tight space and have YOU cornered.
