You can blow on the main speaker of it, or clean it off with a toothbrush or q tip that gets rid of debris on there usually

We're you able to get the right AirPod cleared out? The absolute best way is to use Alcohol or Hydrogen Peroxide with a Q-tip, then blow through the speaker hard, works every time for me.

I called Apple about the price to repair them and what they quoted to repair just one or to purchase one wasn’t too far off from each other and it still would’ve almost cost what you’d pay for a whole new set. I’m glad I didn’t toss mines and that I came across the video almost 2 years later lol. The Pros just don’t fit like these originals for me. My ear canal is just way too small and those swishy things on the Pros are kind of irritating.

My airpods had this problem for a long time and I had tried everything, even Apple support I already contacted (but they said they didn't know what the problem could be and indicated that I should go to technical assistance) as the nearest store is far from my house I decided to just leave my AirPods aside and use the Lightning headphone, later I even bought other versions of headphones via bluetooth that were similar to the Apple ones. I ended up losing one of these headphones and found myself with no way out, I couldn't find cases like mine anywhere (because it's “normal” for the AirPod to stop working on one side or something like that but on a specific sound output ??? no way haha) until I finally found your video. I did the whole step by step and it was like magic, I was thrilled to see my AirPods working after so long! Thank you so much for teaching this, it really helped a lot of people with the same problem as me! Ps: english is not my first language so sorry for any mistakes

Thank you so much mate, i was nearly before to send it back to apple. Worked all very fine. But 1 extra tip: Take a hairdryer after you cleaned it with alcohol and dry it, so you can melt the rest of the wax inside. After you heated it up you have to blow very hard and after that suck it in as much as you can. Mine works like they are new! Thanks for the video

Listen carefully guys, clean out the grills with either a toothpick first or something pointy but be careful then use a q tip with alcohol to clean the grills or anything that will fit, next you suck on the tip (sus lol) untill you think thats enough and the last but most importantly use a small dry toothbrush to clean the grills, u can use the toothbrush on all three different openings to get rid of particles and there tou go thank me later

Had static and crackling when loud bass played, sounded like a blown-out speaker. This did not entirely fix the problem, but it reduced it by a lot. I may just have to clean a little more than I already did. I actually thought this sounded like total BS, but I was willing to try it instead of spending another $200 to replace my airpod pros. Ok, I did this and fixed mine. Here’s what I learned: 1. I needed to use alcohol to clean. Just a tiny bit on a Q-tip, but it got more stuff out. 2. The suction is the most important part. Mine looked perfectly clean and still didn’t work. Sound was like 95% coming out the side and 5% out the main hole. When I applied suction I couldn’t get any air to go through at all. Gentle pressure of a couple seconds each and something amazing happened. It started to move air through the AirPod. After a dozen attempts air easily moved from the back hole through the front. Tried it and BAM! Worked perfectly. Tried the other side and I couldn’t pull air through that one either. That one eventually loosened up too. They’re both perfect now!

I’ve purchased six pair of AirPods in the last year because I always thought that main speaker kept breaking on either one side or both. The ones I have now were at that point as well where only the side speaker works. I was going to buy a another new pair this week but after this video I blew on the side speaker on both of them over and over for about five minutes and now they both work like new.!!! Thank God I saved the other pairs I am going to do the same today I’m sure they will work.! Thank you!!!

in the gym everyday and over time my 1 year old earpods started going... i got sound from the small speaker on the right side but not the main, the left side was perfect. i was gonna take them to CRapple but my CRapple care expired a week ago... tried everything, came across this vid and boom. i thought i was gonna break them by doing this but no.. it worked fine. by break i meant stop working all together by popping the speaker from the suction vacuum.... but the small side speaker and main speaker are connected so air flows through the side one while you do what buddy said in the vid. The other side? Do you mean the air intake opposite of the main speaker? If so, it's because your main speaker is still clogged with wax and you need to apply a solvent like Alcohol or Hydrogen Peroxide to help break that up. Then be sure to blow hard through both the main speaker and the air intake to clear that out. If this isn't your issue, can you provide some more details for me? Thanks so much for watching!

If no sound is coming out at all I recommend holding the reset button on the back of your AirPod case for 15 seconds.

Laura Cornish this is what is happening to me. Sound is coming out of the two other speakers but not the main one. I tried blowing and cleaning and nothing worked. This all started after I had used a q tip to clean it. Before that it was fine. I don’t know what to do

Thanks for sharing your experience. Did you use alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean with the Q-tip? If not, it won't work. I've cleaned mine this way since I've owned them and it's always worked.

Yes, that will help in some cases. However, much of the time it's earwax clogging up the mesh in front of the speaker and it must be cleaned out properly with a solvent like rubbing alcohol - then blowing through the speaker to clear it out. It's always worked for me.

as hard as i tried, my mouth isn’t strong enough. i wet them with alcohol and then used a narrow guard on my vacuum cleaner. it’s amazing to see it pull out all off the years and years of wax. then repeat the process, it’ll keep on sucking out more. a good mix of alcohol and suction .

I’m not much of a germaphobe so I don’t care bahah but if you’re worried about it not being hygienic use lens cleaning wipes that are used for glasses and wipe the AirPod down. It does wonders I also use them to clean the case too 🤩

Mine had gotten blocked and usually cleared it with blutac. Eventually that stopped working and I had to use “suck on them” as many videos suggest which worked for a while. They got to the point today when none of the worked and one was super quiet no matter what. I just said fuck it and poked a whole in the grill and boy my idea of loud was obviously very quiet. They’re 50 percent louder now at least. There is was also a layer of dirt and grime on the other side of the grill which was causing the quiet volume. The holes in the grill are a small price to pay for loud even volume music.

For a little more quality: go to (settings),(Music) scroll down than turn off (Sound Check) makes you’re Airpods louder. Next go to (Settings) search for (EQ) search for one you like if you don’t like any turn the EQ off. Pin this pleas🤝

Just scroll down on the main settings menu and you'll see it after the shortcuts setting (I'm using iOS 13.5). An easier method is just search "Music" in your settings app and it will bring it up so you can tap into it.
