Anton great video & congrats on being the first to try the challenge that the hardest paid hang challenges use.

One thing that super helps on these if you’re hands are big enough/the bar is small enough, is to try to lock your thumb under the rest of your fingers. Like the opposite of how you would do it for full crimp basically. It helps to passively resist the rotation of the bar.

It's called hookgrip and if its permitted this challenge loses its meaning...
@vvendetta7212 жыл бұрын
On a huge bar I think keeping the palm tight to the bar helps increase friction against the thumb which is the antagonist to the bar spinning. 4 fingers versus 1 thumb to cancel the spin is always going to fatigue the thumb first, you see Anton thumb twist close to the end.

The problem for most people, and even for people who train grip strength, is that they depend on their upper palms too much (the pads at the base of the fingers). Grip strength should be trained on fingers only, for success in this challenge, and for improved grip strength versatility in general.

I'm not in any way shape or form able to compete in the least degree against the least most proficent person in this or any other video depecting this contest. And I only have an extremely low knowledge of physics. Unless there's a rule governing the placement of one hands when they grasp the bar. Meaning both hands though can be as close or far apart as one wishs, but palm in front or palm back of the bar. Such as the difference in pull ups vs chin ups. Wouldn't placeing one hand palm forward and one placed plam backward be of usefullness. I mean both palms facing the same direction cause the bars ability to spin one way or the opposite. Having both hands in oppoisite grasp. Would keep the bar from spinning. Right?

First I would change the character to have at least some facial hair, I don't think I've ever seen you without beard/mustache, the character just doesn't look like you enough for somebody to recognise you. Let me start by saying there’s no way I could do this. However, if you have the skill and see this as a challenge on the boardwalk or somewhere at a fair, just ask them if you have to support your entire body weight with your grip for 100 seconds? When they say yes, do a muscle up, and stay that way for 100 seconds. I can’t do a muscle up, but I would imagine that holding a muscle up position would be much easier than hanging.

You may be skinny and win challenges. But when the buff guy comes to you to ask for your money, the skinnyniness won't help you. On a more serious note, I got this conclusion: It's not worth it for me to study different trainings for different gains. I just want to be able. So I'll just practice the things I want to achieve. The muscles will just have to adapt to what I want however they can best.
