The studs are facing the wrong way. Should always screw the soft side 1st. Well the can face whatever way, as long as same direction but you should start boarding according to the way the studs are facing.

These lads are not full time drywall men... whats the lad on scaffolding doing lol... there are enough off them there to eat the wall never mind stand it.

I was thinking the same thing. You are more likely to have a bulge in your wall by rocking in this direction. Also, I'm hoping they are installing knock down doors in that office.

How expensive/cheaper is metal compared to 2x4 stud? and what its advantage over the other during construction?
@VCGConstruction6 жыл бұрын
So metal studs cost about 15% more than wood studs. But they will save you money when it comes to the benefits. Metal studs are a lot lighter than wood, put up with screws, so they are easier to replace if you make a mistake. Wood swells and expands, metal stays constant. Wood can rot or attract insects. There is also a lot less scrap when using metal studs as apposed to wood. Hopefully this helped.

@rickscully95335 жыл бұрын
Metal studs are way faster to install. You need less equipment as well, unless you are on a huge job. Then you will need a chopsaw. If it's a DYI all you need is a pair of snips. When framing a wall you have a bottom track and top track. Then the studs slide tightly into them. Also, metal studs are NOT lighter than wood studs. You have a plethora of different guages you can pick from. As 25 guage is like a pop can, then you have 10 guage wich is like a I beam.
