THANK YOU! I got luck and was able to salvage a bunch of glass from some old windows. Was trying to figure out how to hang the finished products.

This was really heldful! I have a show in Santa Fe in July and looking for tips ! So you’re just slipping the acrylic tubing over a smaller screw in the wall? One on top and one on bottom?
@amykeever85276 ай бұрын
I see that you didn’t put one on the bottom! So it looks like you’re not fitting the nail or screw perfectly , just something to hang from

Thank you so much for sharing. Most of my work is meant to be hung and I use the same expensive product. But I don't need these to display my pieces in my workshop. Your method is brilliant. Thank you again.

Hey Dad! Was online looking for a way to hang a piece of art that my friend is making using a very large, broken (whoops) glass dish. He’s mounted it onto a canvas painting that brings out the colors of the piece, and I mounted a fitted piece of plywood to the back of the canvas. Found a light-ish weight tv wall mount i think will work great (input welcome) but need some advice on how to make sure the heavier pieces stay on the canvas (E6000 so far, but have only tried with lighter pieces) and also, what you can tell me about drilling into thick glass if I wanted to use wire maybe as extra support and to relieve some of the weight so it doesn’t tear through the canvas

Hi it looks great ...how do you get the nail 🤦🏻♀️can the stand off mount be glued to the wall instead of nailing or is that too risky
@glasshoppa23263 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Hammer the nail into the wall and hang the glass with mount attached on the nail. Don't glue the mount to the wall ...
@tinaradosevich87728 жыл бұрын
This is great! How is it then attached to the wall? Do you use a standard picture hook?

Thanks -- I just use a nail ...

Brilliant!!! This is a perfect solution for a glass on glass piece I've been wanting to start. I was wanting to hang flush to the wall, but to let the light in behind is sooooo much better. Thanks for saving the day!!

This is a brilliant idea. Do you think aluminum tubing would work? ThankS!

When drilling acrylic you do not need to slowly increase the drill bit size when drilling a hole. Just the pilot hole and final size.,

Can I use this method to hang a heavy glass about 25 lbs ?
@glasshoppa23264 жыл бұрын
Joe, I have not tested for maximum weights. So much depends on surface area of the adhesive, the adhesive itself, its application, etc. I can only suggest that you test for yourself before risking a very heavy object. Sorry I don't have an answer ...

this is great but finding the center of the piece should be the balanced center of how you want it to hang. if you are doing a single hole.

Would a hot glue gun work to adhesive the glass instead of the glue u used?
@glasshoppa23263 жыл бұрын
I don't know, you'll have to test it. Another glue I use is LoctiteGo2.

This is great. Do you think it would work on a piece that is 100% epoxy resin instead of glass?
@glasshoppa23263 жыл бұрын
Sure, why not ...
@DougMotel3 жыл бұрын
@@glasshoppa2326 Haha OK then... I will let you know if it works. I have large and heavy pieces of art where I use a mold to pour resin. But I can't figure how to hang them!
@glasshoppa23263 жыл бұрын
@@DougMotel you'll have to test for weight ... I don't know what the capacity might be. 🤞
@DougMotel3 жыл бұрын
@@glasshoppa2326 Well it can't be as heavy as glass so if your experience is that large pieces of glass, say 20" x 24" can withstand that glue then it should work with epoxy resin "sheets:. Great video. I like your folksy humor. :-)
