Same blown apart metal case, etc. I was messing around with the carb and injected a bunch of gas into the exhaust somehow and it went off like a bomb. I had people coming out of their houses trying to see what the noise was!!! I even saw it on Facebook about a half hour later!!! Hahahaha. Yeah, it's REALLY, REALLY, REALLY loud! I had a dji mavic air 2 for a few years now and I will say I have crashed it 1 time. but that was only because i was fooling around with it on sport mode and being dumb. but if i was flying somebody elses drone i would be VERY careful! As Andrew said after you crashed it " all you gotta do is fly higher then the trees!!" lol pretty much says it perfect right there! You can tell that you was flying VERY close to the tree tops before you hit the top of the trees. if you would have just stayed another 20 feet higher then crises avoided! but its all in the past now! no reason to dewell on it right! have a great day!!! btw.. great videos you are making!! :)

if it makes you feel better I've crashed all my drones at least once haha Shit happens. also on a side note if that drone was in one of the auto tracking modes they sometimes get pretty stupid. that's how i crashed my Mavic pro. it didn't detect the tree while in auto pilot and smacked the branch at about 100ft elevation. id bet that dodge has some bad ground or rubbed wire that's tweaking something. they can become a basket case in a hurry. and the fact that its been sitting for a few years doesn't make those issues any better! I wouldn't beat yourself up too bad over it!
@CerebralAilment2 жыл бұрын
The drone was total operator error - I think when I brushed the top of that tree it set one of the propellers off as you can see it fly away from the drone in slow motion. Then it just flipped downward until it bounced off the rock wall... It was a bummer that day for sure but I feel better about it now that he's got the replacement. I could tell Andrew was pissed about it but he wasn't a dick or anything just annoyed, which is expected haha. I'm gonna try and get the Dodge going again next trip down, I'll bring all my tools with me this time so I can actually diagnose things and get it narrowed down. Dodge has a special software called DRB that you need to use when you swap out ECU's which I didn't have, which is why the exhaust loaded up and blew out the muffler. I'm hoping to borrow my buddies 10k snapon scanner next time which has the software on it.
