Oh, boy! He’s definitely a natural! A beautiful guy, too. Savannah is going to be so pleased! Looks like she has a futurity winner on her hands in the not too distant future! I think that boy is going to make a very determined little girl some big money some day! So proud of her perseverance to make this dude happen! ❤️

It's a shame there has to be negative comments towards trainers they know take every precaution. In all honesty, these professionals at this level do an extremely amazing job caring for the animal well beyond the average horsemen. It's a known fact that qhs mature quickly as a breed, and their strength is in their substance and lower center of gravity. They are also bred for cowhorse events and are tried and true for decades. I attend futurities every year and never see any breakdown because the rider is too big. I come from an English riding background and appreciate larger horses, especially for jumping, but this equine sport is different in its stresses, and they always ride on the ultimate soft surfaces, whether home or showing. I like others won't put too much into this because it may be a genuine concern. However, sometimes I think people are too self-righteous and have alterior motives because it's common sense trainers that are very transparent and gracious enough to give free info are the last horse people to over stress a 2 year old. In fact, they have the sense and experience to know if the horse can not handle their weight. At no time did we see the horse laboring to warrant a negative comment regardless. Lastly, Im not into roping, but as a testiment to their strength, it is common for a 14 h qh to pull a cow to the ground with a 6ft rider and last many years doing it. Try it on a non qh 16h english riding breed and see how long they last. If you genuinely want to understand this game, breeding helps.

This is a nice baby. You are putting time on him that will make him great. His stop is amazing, he did that with just a halter on the first ride, you said whoooa, dropped your weight in the saddle and he drug his hiney. A natural, just does it. Drops that nose and buries his butt. Those things can be trained to some degree. He loves his job. He probably misses his little girl. Good job Matt. You definitely have a horse under you and by spring he will be blossoming. A horseman’s dream for sure❤️👏❤️

G’day MM Team Savanna Supporters Suppliers & Co ;-) OMG Blue Thunder - down under here in OZ would be fantastic! You’all have done a magnificent job building him up, he’s smart enough to know what you want, with the least amount of work, for cookie’s! He’s a world Champion in the making! So what’s he like around cattle? MM for the arena dust there are many surfactants on the market that hold the dust in to clumps that aren’t harmful for the environment humans and critters.. Perhaps this could help you all breathe in clean air deeply. With many source blessings with truth clarity love light laughter happiness joy fun play creativity adventures abundance wisdom wealth health and may peace be with you all! Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 xoxo 😘

It's nice Blue coming along so well. In March of 2023 I got Maxine a 14-month-old Belgian Malinois from our local shelter. She was completely untrained, now we're training (Maxine and I) for her Brevet level in French Ring, (look that up, it's pretty amazing.) I hope you're doing well.

Hi again MATT Happy to see you after your busy summer/fall. Enjoy the update on BT. He's going to have an amazing slide/stop!! Thinking he's got a super calm willing attitude especially for 2 and already accepting to learn. A bit lazy too is a great thing lol. You're going to have alot of fun with him as he learns forward. What a thrill for a young girl with her horse and her dream!! Good job to her parents and their support. Looking forward to seeing you a bit more now. Thx as always for sharing...

Yes of course you're too big for that pony, it's obscene knowing you know it too. I don't get American's, just weigh yourself and weigh the horse, you should weight no more than twenty% of the horse. Being too heavy for the horse seems to be pretty common in all these cow poking sorts of sports, especially big men on tiny horses. Is there no law in your state? If not time to get cracking and make sure there is one.
