Some people commented that 5 years is too soon for a vow renewal. This is a perfect example of an instance where you should not let others weigh in on your marriage. Some couples renew their vows every year, some do it every decade, and some do not renew their vows at all. We believe marriage is something that should be celebrated and we're looking forward to having fun with our renewal.

I understand exactly what you mean, and I agree! Usually, in some interracial couples (my parents included), one will have to be all in on the other's culture. But I love what you said, Tracy. Just celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary in Vegas. We loved it. The Paris with the Eiffel Tower view was amazing. Wanted to see Usher but he was off the week we were there. Enjoyed the shows and trying new food. April was a great time to go. It wasn't too hot. Congratulations on the 5 years. Our marriage was rough in the years 5-7, but we weathered the storm.
