Hanif if you see this as a guy who grew up in Columbus in the 2000s and vividly remembers the day brookhaven closed and has read everything you wrote, this book holds a special place in my heart. the way you wrote about that time in our city will never be matched. "A safe space to lie to ourselves." I like that definition of sports fandom. My brother-in-law is a Commander's fan and he sincerely tells me every year how they're going to the playoffs. I think he really does believe it. Eventually he's going to be alright it may even be this year.
