Bryson's game is built to win US Opens. His length and incredible short game make him the favorite on any US Open course and setup.

Bryson tied the record for lowest 72 holes in a major at the PGA and still lost. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Rory may never be my favorite because of his personality and the way he handled this Liv golf stuff but he is a great golfer for sure and i wish him the best

That's why you don't lengthen golf courses you narrow them down and add more trees and thick rough, that's why Melbourne's sandbelt courses are so good, all the misses Bryson had would have been unplayable in ti trees and more than likely chipping out sideways. Also by playing shorter courses the whole field has a chance, by lengthening you take out 90% of the field.

To Hank’s question about how often has Rory been in real contention on sunday at majors, the ones that come to mind: 2018 masters, 2018 Open, 2021 us open, 2022 Open, 2022 pga (outside chance), 2023 us open, 2024 us open

Bryson should be in the Olympics. Toughest course this year and he beat all the best players. And the so-called (bogus) world ranking is a joke too.

Rory had to play a great 14 holes to get into a position to choke
@SiLoMixMaster
@SiLoMixMaster 5 ай бұрын
And Bry58n had to play below his average. Changing his driver head just before the round started is what gave Rory a chance to be the leader anyway

They did a close-up of the putt on 18 that Rory missed. If you look at it, the club is lifting an inch off the ground as it approaches the ball, and he hits the middle of the ball with the bottom of the putter face. So it was a literal mishit.

It’s called ”peeking.” When you lift your head to see where the ball is going to go, everything else follows.

I don’t know about your analysis about closing out tournaments with the lead and percentage of those happening as almost guaranteed is very low. Having followed Tiger, with 14 Majors, he does not wait till Sunday to close out a tournament, he does most of his damage to the field on Saturday just like Jack. Its their mindset that separates them from players like Rory. They know what number it takes to beat the field and they go out there and post it for everyone to try and catch. As for Rory, 10 years and 40 Majors played for the poster boy of the PGAT not to get a least 1, says volumes about where his mental state is. Unless he figures it out like Phil did before he won his first Major, this choke job his did is on his mind every time he stands on a putt to win a Major. Sadly, that is the only antidote to his woes, back in that same position, 1 putt to win the Major with a 4 footer slicker than a glass table.

You pointed out the fact that the US Olympic committee left Bryson of the golf team! Here is one even better Mr. Haney & I’m sure you are aware of it, how about the greatest female college player in the history of Women’s Basketball, Caitlin Clark being snubbed! I will never watch another Olympics again!

when tiger was winning them he had to beat 5 or 6 top guys. now there's 30 killers out there. no one is winning more than 8 in a career (maybe scottie can).

Rory is mentally not able to handle the pressure; per his own words- he loses 15-20lbs for the week of a tournament “due to stress”. I’ve heard Bubba Watson say the EXACT same thing…and he looks like he’s battling cancer. The irony is - Rory should have ZERO stress or almost none because he doesn’t NEED to win to make money and stay on the tour. He’s worth $250+ million. He simply needs a better caddie, swing coach, and sports psychologist figure out his imposter syndrome. Meditation. Visualization. Relaxation. Yoga. Massage. Medical marijuana. Or all of the above.

A lotta back door top tens for Rory in majors over the last 10 years. That’s no stress.

Lol there is zero chance he loses 20lbs for majors unless it’s water weight, which would mean he drains himself on purpose

I think Rorys caddy is poor in high pressure situations. His caddy should have pulled that driver out of his hands on 18 especially when Rory hit 3 wood the last 3 days.

I think if someone else won Rory may have stayed and congratulated but he hates LIV. So happy BD won. Only question I have is why when his driver wasn't working so well doesn't he have plan B and maybe hit irons off tee, cause if Cantlay, Pavon or Finau shoot really low rounds he loses? That said his short game especially on 8 was Next Level. He's a WINNER!

Royster had a 2 stroke lead, and the chambeeno couldn't find a fairway. No major can be won with 3bogues in final4 holes; not even a playoff. I mean, its not jean van derwald, but it sucked beyond compare.
