I'm from Alexander city. I'm here now. I'm 25. He has a cabin here on lake Martin that has been made into a tourist attraction. He was locked up here as well. I love my hometown. I love hank

It's crazy how magnetic his songs are. They go down very easily and it's hard to switch away. Once you start listening, your ear just stays with them til the end.

Somebody somewhere had to really clean this recording up, it sounds awesome. A lot of Hank's old recordings have that "old" pop and hiss, etc., but the singing and musicianship were always top notch. He was and will always remain the single best country songwriter that ever lived. Most of these new "country" ( and I use that word as loosely as possible) singers suck goat ass, pure and simple.

You've got that exactly right. He's my favorite artist of all time. Poor man had too many problems though. He struggled his whole life but that's what made his music so beautiful.

Audrey Williams was not what I would call attractive. She couldn't sing neither. Hank even joked about that himself. Great to hear Hank though. My father when he was alive loved Hanks music. He had the opportunity to visit Hanks boyhood home, grave and even stand on the Grand Ole Opry. Hank was a great poet!

I think Audrey was a very attractive smart woman. But not smart enough to know she couldn't hold a note. Hank still loved her till the day he passed. Even though he married Billie Jean. I'm sure he cared for her very much. He was the in too much pain. He is now in heaven, and in great peace with the Lord.
