Thanks again Jordan. I can see you are a big Hank fan. The father of country music. And his sound was a pre curser to Rock n Roll . The voice of Alabama as well. Great vlog as usual. It's debatable where Hank actually died . Some say he was already dead before they even reached West Virginia. Well I guess we may never really know . His driver Charles Carr passed away in 2013.

What a cool trip, I agree with you Hank Williams is one of Americas best. Such a vintage rest stop, you don’t often get a hot dog for $2.50 and free coffee, wow what a kind person. I’m like you with there’s a monster museum I have to see it, this the season, loved the red one with outstretched arms very cool 😎 you should have sat in the green chair with that monster, he wouldn’t hurt you lol. Once again you bring us great American tourism 🥰🤗🐾

Great tribute to Hank Williams - we also love when you include any local folklore. Your vlogs will, in years to come, become an exceptional record of America, it's present and it's past - I think folklore is an important part of that history. Also, the woman in the restaurant and the gentleman in the museum were so welcoming - this was a great adventure, many thanks Jordan.

I live in Beckley, WV. One more notable musician from here is Bill Withers, who had hit songs “Lean on Me”, “Ain’t No Sunshine”, “Just the Two of Us”, and many others. Another note is Chris Sarandon gave Susan Sarandon her married name and he was also the speaking voice of Jack Skellington. Enjoyed the video!

HANK WILLIAMS, SR. Fan here also, Well done Jordan. I didn't know about Hank's health and the Chronic Pain he was in. Perhaps this is why there so much emotion in his voice when he sang. The poor guy was suffering. His Music was and still is amazing and full of emotion. Well done, Sir. Enjoyed this and the Monster story as well.

Thank you Jordan this was a very interesting town. I believe they really saw something on the hilltop in 1952. Unusual looking creature. It's great how they have that center. Now that the government has admitted to aliens that should help their town out! So sad about Hank Williams it's sad to think he pushed himself to do these shows to get his popularity going again and after they released those songs after he passed his popularity took off again!

Great tribute to Hank. He was very young when he died. Combining pain killers and alcohol can be common with people who live in life long pain. I can't believe the Cafe only charges $2.50 for that delicious looking hotdog. And the coffee was free. The Fleetwood monster is so cute looking. West Virginia looks very pretty.

Wow that was really sad going to his last stop. I've loved him since I was a kid. What an amazing songwriter. I like all kinds of music pretty much, mostly rock, but I love old roots country like Hank. I really kind of miss that style and I'm really not into modern country music for the most part. It just doesn't sound like country music. Anyway, this was great Jordan. I recently drew a picture of Hank and wrote a quick little poem to go with it: 🌹Dear Mr. Williams Hank, if I may In the back seat of a car On a snowy New Year's Day You quietly slipped away Twenty nine, but old A skeleton in rhinestones Free now forever From hearts beatin' and cheatin' No more stories to be told Say hi to Patsy🌹

touring in those days was long drives, two lane roads, meals on the road when you could stop long enough to eat, and motels to sleep in --- weather was always a problem, flat tires or engine trouble could really wreck your day, it's amazing how any performers made a living out of it

This is the first time I realized Hank Williams was only 29 when he passed away. I have always thought he was much older because of the volume of music he left behind. On a side note I went to college with a guy who was born with spinabifita, he had been in a wheelchair since school age & his mom could no,o her carry him about. His sister became pregnant with her first child that year and he told me he had cried when he begged her to abort her child, he told me he said to her if there was any tiny percentage her child would inherit spine issues like his she would do the baby a favor not being born. Chills shot trough me when he told me this. His pain made his life very dark.

Did you go into the Bigfoot Museum a block away from the Flatwoods Monster Museum? It is on a corner & has a little food spot, antiques & the Bigfoot Museum all in one. It is not huge but they have foot & hand castings, pictures, hair, etc. I was in there about 2 months ago when I was at the library. Braxton in general has some weird things, it is central Wv & quite wooded. My dad was born & raised in the area, I have heard him tell some strange stories. West Virginia has alot of UFO activity too, we personally experienced things in different counties (Gilmer, Randolph, Barbour) over the years. We have lived in Calhoun County about 6 years now, our daughter was out on the porch one night & had some bright light on the hill by us just hover & go back & forth. She shined a light towards it & it started coming towards her.

Not sure how accurate the reports are but its been stated that Carr had stopped previously to get a backup driver and the two of them were the ones who discovered Hank when they stopped at the restaurant. It's crazy that in 2006 record labels and family were still fighting over his estate, 53 yrs after his death
