Love this video. I discovered Hank’s music in 1982 when I was 19, and he is my all-time favorite performer and entertainer, by far. My curiosity was getting the best of me as I was trying to figure out where this clip came from. I did a little research, and it seems it’s from a 1984 show called Waylon Jennings and Friends. There were reportedly eight parts/episodes. There’s a KZbin channel called Angie Rockgiirl on which she has posted them. I’m sure someone will let me know if my information is incorrect, so I apologize in advance. I just felt that since I was so curious about it, I figured that there are others wondering, as well.

The Johnny Cash part was great. I always liked Johnny Cash, I even consider him my favorite of all time, but recently got more into country when I found an old Hank Williams Jr. vinyl (Whiskey bent and hell bound) that was in a bin filled with my grandpa's old records. I'm beyond greatful for being blessed with them, and I'm only gonna buy more now, I wish I coulda had conversations with him about country music.. There's so many records, may his soul rest easy, hope I'm makin him proud by giving his record's a spin again, idk why it makes me emotional thinking he was the last one to enjoy the songs 😅

I swear I've seen this video so many times in the last 8-10 years. Fewer and fewer as the years go by, but still, yeah, I come back because it's so genuine.

It has always seemed to me that Hank Jr. has this irrepressible sense of humor. This video definitely confirms it :-)

Random thought, but that wouldve been so cool if Hank jr was one of The Highwaymen. I get why he wasnt, he was huge at the time and had his own thing, but that wouldve been amazing.

He was the dude riding the horse in the music video. That's pretty close. Nearly killed himself doing it.

nobody else could cover this song because of how many personal touches he put into it to make his friends laugh at themselves and eachother way to go , ole boy.

Well I love this I watch it over n over I've added it to my husband's n my own play list here on you tube and I have to watch it at least twice everytime. It's so awesome. You can tell how close all yall were. N how much you really felt your music. There was a sense of friendship, or family, loyalty, & brotherhood. That you rarely find in music today. Even country music which us supposed to be all about those things. But what is showed& felt in this video is real and can not be faked. I l love it n I love you and your music.THANKS FOR ALL OF IT !!! YOUR IN MY COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME !! ALWAYS HAVE BEEN !!!

All my rowdy friends have settled down And it seems to be more in the laid-back songs Nobody wants to get drunk and get loud Everybody just wants to go back home I myself have seen my wilder days And I have seen my name at the top of the page But I need to find a friend just to run around But nobody wants to get high on the town And all my rowdy friends have settled down And I think I know what my father meant When he sang about a "Lost Highway" And old George Jones, I'm glad to see he's finally getting straight And Waylon's staying home and loving Jessi more these days And nobody wants to get drunk and get loud And all my rowdy friends have settled down And the hangovers hurt more than they used to And corn bread and ice tea took the place of pills and 90-proof And it seems like none of us do things quite like we used to do And nobody wants to get high on the town And all my rowdy friends have settled down Yeah, I think I know what my father meant When he sang about the "Lost Highway" And Johnny Cash don't act like he did back in '68 And Kris, he is a movie star, and he's moved off to L.A. And nobody wants to get drunk and get loud And all my rowdy friends have settled down Yeah, me and my rowdy friends done rowdied on down

I'm from over the big pond here in England. I just love that southern drawl, I love Don Williams's velvet voice too. There are so many great Country and Western singers out there. Thank you all for the great heart-tugging songs, that some of us can relate to.
