I am a proud owner of a Monarch rig.Not only is it beautifully made, it’s the most comfortable shoulder rig I’ve ever had.I carry a Sig P226 TacOps, a full sized pistol, my rig has three tension release mag pouches and a HRT dagger.Full sized pistol, 81 rounds, and a knife.Completely concealed under a light jacket.The absolute best!

Just talked with Sam. Sounds like both of my monarch rigs are in the final stages along with my belt. I got a double Glock 19X with mag pouches and a double 642 J frame with stripper clip holsters along with double HRT sheaths. on each. Took me many years to find somebody that had the ability to make exactly what I wanted. Literally about 15 years.

Sam is an unbelievable craftsmen and gentleman. He has gracefully and without return expectations, taught many his trade, including myself. I purchased a holster from Sam nearly 8 years ago now and showed interest in the process while I was there to pick it up. He asked if I would like to make something and the rest is history. I had the opportunity to spend nearly six months with Sam in his shop learning the trade. Never to busy to lend a hand or give advice, I am forever grateful for his mentoring. Nothing makes a stitch as perfect and beautiful as a Landis 16. Absolutely the best harness stitcher ever made. The only drawback would be the shallowness of the neck. The only stitcher that comes close is the Union Lockstitch hook and awl machine.

Great video!! Thanks for posting it. I watched this one and the last one from beginning to end. My wife loved the stitching machine. She has been an avid sewer her whole life. She really liked that part of the operation. She has made many clothes and Halloween costumes for both our 4 kids and our 8 grandkids!! What a great and entertaining video. Enjoyed every minute, Sam, you are a real craftsman!!! Bravo!! I picked up a Galco Miami Classic shoulder holster over 25 years ago at a local gun shop used for $25.00!!!! Back then it was a super deal. Watching this video makes me appreciate it even more today. Now that we finally have CCW in this state, I can finally use it without breaking the law!!! LOL!!!

Hank Strange, thank you so very much for showcasing Mr. Andrews in your videos. He is a consummate gentleman, and a true master of leather. While many folks may make holsters, Mr. Andrews crafts. Many moons ago I ordered a Monarch for my H&K USPc, and, once I received it, it was only on a blue moon that I used a different rig for carry. I no longer have the H&K, but I couldn't bring myself to sell the Monarch. I now carry a Beretta PX4 Compact, and I just placed an order with Mr. Andrews for the holster portion of the Monarch to be used with the harness and triple magazine pouches I used for the H&K. I may own another H&K compact, one never knows, and if I do, I already have my favorite rig waiting for me. Thanks again, Hank!
