To think councilor's are on a lot more money then the prime minister and our towns and cities are all in shit state is disgraceful. seriously why is this country going to ruins, its like the government don't give a f, why are we paying such high taxes when we live in this state!!

Brilliantly brutal truth that. More often than not, the place is the place because of the people.

Can't fault your comment. Councils don't make this mess people do. Saw piece of film two weeks ago about the mess in Shelton. I wonder what kind of people live there.

Makes me weep when I see these videos. Hanley used to be such a nice place. (P.S. Any chance you could put one of those fluffy things over your microphone to stop the wind roar?) .Excellent but sad viewing. Cheers.

Keep up the good work. Love the content you bring & the channel. SOT city councillors should be held to task with the state if the city. It’s time they spent some money knocking eyesore ms down and building houses, flats & apartments on the hand with getting big skips everywhere and get the place cleaned up. Disgraceful and they should stop their salaries for doing nozt.

15:15, despite the state of the town we do seem to have an awful lot of very nice stone work on the floor. It makes you wonder about the council priorities. A mad suggestion - how about making the parking free and dropping the rates instead? Might be a better way to resurrect the place than making it look like a massive patio. All the best, Brian.

12:07 I am actualy quite pleased we have a link to the Titanic, it was and still is such an iconic ship. Unfortunately Dump-on-Trent is going the same way as the ship, question is will it ever end or will our Labour Council just keep running it into the ground.

Hey, new subscriber here, Hello and Greetings from Newcastle upon Tyne. My Uncle left the north east in the late 50's and was relocated in Stoke on Trent by the NCB where he worked as a coal miner for many years. I've not been to Hanley, Longton or any other places in the area but used to hear my Uncle, Aunt and Cousins mention these places many times over the years. This is the 4th video of yours I have watched today and I'm absolutely shocked beyond words as I had no idea what so ever these places would be anything like they are. The whole lot need to be raised to the ground and rebuilt (in my humble opinion).
@staudits4 ай бұрын
Hello and thanks for commenting and subscribing. Quite a lot of people from Newcastle (we call them geordies - no disrespect intended) and people from the mines moved to work in the pits in Stoke. Cracking people. Some right entertaining characters. Here the problems are the closure of the pits and the potteries. Mass immigration and a widespread drug pandemic. Thanks for the comments. Please keep em' coming.

Well, when the poncey Londoners have had enough of the shitehole it has become, they might set their sights on Stoke. It has all of the promise - lovely fixer-upper buildings from a past glory, ready to be purchased for £1 each. Who knows, if you hold on for long enough, it could become THE place!!

It's confusing to crop that search result at 4:05. The guy weren't disagreeing with the facts (for once). He even said pretty much that he can't simply ring the police on account of legal activity. Anyone like that as aggy as they are in their attitudes. Anyone that can do some basic revision is worth alot more now than ever before.

The video was as fantastic as always, but it evoked a sense of sadness in me when I saw the state of Stoke. It brought back memories of a film I saw a few years back called Threads, set in 1984 when Britain was devastated by a nuclear attack from the Russians. The bleak and desolate scenes of destruction in both the film and Stoke left me feeling somber and reflective.
