Please "like" this comment so it gets pushed to the top and people see it! I can't remove my current pinned comment due to sponsorship rules. NOTE: I had to make a bit of a choppy edit at the 59 minute mark cutting out a 30 second section of the Monat Founder's Pool clip because KZbin dinged me for a copyright violation due to the music in the background of the clip. In classic KZbin fashion, they only dinged me AFTER the video was uploaded 😂 Rather than taking the whole video down and reuploading, I just trimmed out that section using KZbin Studio's crappy editing feature. That's why the clip ends abruptly and my next sentence "If you're confused..." is cut off. The piece that got cut was the Urdanetta family standing outside their mansion talking about how Monat is "on the road to be a 1 billion dollar company" and how they want you to "join the Monat family". Olive Tree People Synopsis: A secluded village in the heart of a dense, ancient olive grove has a dark secret. For centuries, the villagers have worshipped a peculiar, twisted deity associated with the olive trees. But when a young woman, Anya, returns to the village after years away, she begins to uncover a horrifying truth. The olive trees, once symbols of life and sustenance, are now possessed by a malevolent force. As the trees begin to exhibit strange, unnatural behavior, the villagers become increasingly terrified and desperate. Anya, with the help of a local elder, must confront the evil that has taken root in their community before it's too late. The film explores themes of ancient rituals, pagan beliefs, and the corrupting power of fear. As the villagers descend into chaos, Anya must face her own personal demons and confront the terrifying truth about the Olive Tree People.

Hearing these women talk about how no one was making any money and the company can just change the formulations without telling you and how dishonest and dismissive the people at the top are about your concerns and how you can be terminated out of seemingly nowhere... and then they hop into another MLM. You were so close! You almost saw how scammy MLMs are and how you contributed to the problem (and they did contribute to the problem, no matter how much they try to say "they," meaning their upline/CEO/R&D department, made the changes, "they" didn't tell you, "they" are the problem. The high earning reps are not victims, but perpetrators). The mental gymnastics it takes to profit for years off the scammy business model and then be all indignant only once you're terminated. Amen! I can tell you for a FACT that Toni was NOT the very first rep to sign on....unless she was involved with this company before the pre-launch. According to our 'sign up' number, I was the 10th person to join, while my upline "Lisa" was actually first. Why did we leave right after the pre-launch? Because our little team was so badly bullied. Toni and her newly founded team would sneak into our "infomation" groups and steal our potential market partners and customers. They would spread rumors about us. A friend of mine was one of the 10 to earn a cruise to the Bahamas, right after the launch. When she came back, she was in tears and quit because Toni and her "team" were so cruel to her. There is another team leader that had a team separate from Toni's and they were extremely rude to her as well and im sure there were other little teams, just starting out, that they had a hand in destroying. I could say more on this subject, but I won't. I think you get what im saying about how she and her teammates went about getting their downline. That was the first MLM I had ever joined and had such a bad taste in my mouth from those toxic mean girls, that thank Goodness, I never went back. So....in my opinion, Toni deserves all she is facing right now. You don't treat people that way. Do I feel bad for "cut-throat" Toni? Oh, heck no! She doesn't care about anyone but herself ....well, except money too. Sorry, not sorry! Luckily, I had a real job and was able to retire from the federal government at age 55, where I receive a nice pension as well as being able to carry my medical insurance with me for the rest of my life. I'm not at risk of losing my home that is paid for, my car that is paid for or at risk of losing my income and having to start all over again. So please....DO NOT JOIN A MLM! You can fall as quickly as you rise. If you want to be your own boss and start a business? Do it yourself. There are federal grants that help minorities (women included) that you can apply for. Start yourself a legit business for yourself...not one where corporate and people above you take your hard earned money. I also want to say "thank you" for another wonderful and informative video! You're the best! ❤

It’s hard for me to have any sympathy for these people who were high up in Monat. From their own words, they knew that there was massive problems behind the scenes. They knew people weren’t making money. They knew all the hype was just that - hype. But what did they do about it? Did they leave Monat on their own accord and become a whistleblower? Nope. They stayed outwardly silent, collecting a paycheck and recruiting more people until they were terminated. Angela says she had made the decision to quit, but who knows with that one. I would never take her word at face value. Hailey admitted that her checks had diminished which is why she went to OTP, but I’m sure she was still happy to receive the checks she did before her termination with no regard to the people on whose backs she was financially benefitting. And don’t even get me started on Toni. Am I glad to see the dumpster fire happening and all of these people coming out of the woodwork to blow everything up? Sure. But if anything, this makes me think less of them, especially when most of them have just moved on to other grifts, so they obviously haven’t learned their lesson.

I agree I don't feel as much sympathy for any of them because I feel like they truly didn't care about these issues until it started to directly affect them. However, many say that being in an MLM is like being in an abusive relationship. Statistically, it takes 7 times for a victim to break free completely from their abuser so I believe it would be generally the same as trying to leave an MLM. So it's not surprising. 😑

Same can be said about anyone who holds a disproportionately large share of power or wealth. They're not going to call out a system that benefits them. They'll move from company to company and bleed their downline dry as it works for them.

Some of the OG companies (Tupperware, Avon) I believe started with better intentions. Basically they providing direct sales opportunities to women who (during that time period) didn’t have as many abilities to make money. And the products weren’t totally trash. The direct sales structure eventually led to the insidious multi level marketing structure, appealing to the same demographic. I could be wrong though lol.

I was a part of Team Momentum and met the Kimbros in person at a Monations event. I honestly believed they were two of the most genuine, caring, salt-of-the-earth people who were dedicated to help others through their faith and conviction. After I left (during the early stages of the pandemic in May 2020), I grieved the loss of that connection with them, but continued to follow their story. I saw their post and follow up video announcing their departure from Monat a few days ago and thought for sure they were leaving MLM for good and were on to truly better things. To hear that they joined another MLM company is a punch to the gut I wasn’t ready for. I truly thought they had realized that MLMs hurt way more people than they help, and their integrity was greater than that fat paycheck made off the backs of others. It’s as if I’m grieving the loss again, only now it’s even more complicated because they HAVE to know they are actually hurting people. It’s sad.

The fact that these organizations (MLMs, churches, cults... so much overlap in so many ways) get so defensive when people notice cracks is incredible. I used it and swore by it for years. I started to get away from MLMs, but wasn’t sure what to do about my shampoo. But they did change the formula. I’m sure they did!! Because I started having reactions to the shampoo I had been using for years. It was awful. When I compared my new bottle with my old bottle (you know, since I had backstock 🤦🏼♀️), when they changed the bottles, they had changed ingredients. It took a long time for others to start noticing the difference.

I have rotten scalp too that reacts to something or other easily and gets terribly itchy with thick crusts. I have some prescription options, but I only use those when it gets out of hand. Otherwise I use Kevin Murphy's angel wash or balancing wash. I got it recommended by my hairdresser. However, the company sent samples with my orders a few times and I will get a reaction to some of their other shampoos like I do with default store bought stuff. Nowadays my main trigger is going to bed with wet hair ^^; Figured I'd give a recommend in case you can access it wherever you are at and it happens to work for you too. If not an option or you already have alternatives then all the best. =)

There is so much “toxic chemical” fearmongering out there and the people in her downline are already more likely to believe in that stuff because that’s who she targets.
