Yes! The effortless intervals and the seamless talk-sing duality make her a GREAT musical theatre performer. It took many listens (and hearing others try to perform the role) to understand that she was the most amazing performer in Mean Girls despite being surrounded by huge vocal stars belting thrilling showcase songs. If the sound of the second song here reminds anyone of something -- it's a dynamite reincarnation of Erika's idol Barbara Cook (Music Man, Candide, etc.) With her voice, acting and comic timing Erika doing Music Man would be something special to hear.

The second song Erika sang reminded me so much of what I’ll call the “Christine daae notes” aka the super super high soprano 1 notes. I don’t think I’ve ever heard her sing that high (I’ve only listened to her in mean girls) so hearing that amazing sound come out her vocal cords just amazed me. I loved Erika in mean girls and this made me realize how astounding her voice is

I had the pleasure of meeting Erika backstage and she was the ABSOLUTE SWEETEST!! she talked with us for like 10-15 minutes about theatre and life and she had to be at stage door and just vibed with us anyways! That's what most of us mean with the phrase haha. Some people are a lot more prone to it than others, but when we listen to music that hits just right it causes goosebumps and shivers. Try getting these singing straws. Hannah here has videos about those. You will only get better at mixing if you practice. Practice singing a lot of Disney Princess songs since they have a lot of mixing. I use my nose at any part in a song that requires mixing. But you have to record yourself so you know if you’re doing it the way the original singer does and if you’re sounding right.
