I was always going back and forth on Bop to the Top. As a Puerto Rican, I liked that Spanish was at least included. As a Latina with functioning ears, I always cringed so hard at how badly they spoke it. The rest of the song was that cheerful kinda cringe that was sort of energetic and catchy enough to (almost) forgive the cringe factor, lol.

Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure that, while there are definitely different takes spliced together, all of Gabriella's singing was done by Vannessa Hudgens. Whether you believe it's lipsynced or not, the "Live" performance demonstrates her transitions better than the movie version. Specifically in the second verse after the key change you can hear her voice sound very similar to the "different" voice in the first and lower verse, but also seemlessly move into her usual sound. Which to me is stark evidence that V Hudge sang it all. Same can't be said for Troy, obviously. Zac only had some intros, outros, spoken lines, and the balcony reprise in the film and everything else was Drew.

Oh goodness it feels so funny and weird to watch HSM in this way 😂 I still love the movies, they are my childhood bc I, too, was at the perfect age of 12 when this came out. My ultimate love story I wanted for myself. I just found your channel and very much like the content, you're so honest and funny to watch at. And also a real player in your own game 👍🏻 I love singing so learning from a pro teacher is always cool. I have a choir background but I wish I could maybe start singing lessions soon.
