Loved your video! I've been doing this pattern for years. However, to get a nice crisp edge to the spirals, I do all stitches in the back loop of each stitch. It looks great that way!!!💙💙💙

to measure the amount of yarn you can probably weigh the finished cardigan and make an estimate of the yarn used. also loveddd the finished product!!

Is what I do.......not just for yarn used but to establish a price.
@kayfkay14Ай бұрын
Jumped on the comments to say this. Weigh it and then just tell how many grams of fingering weight yarns. It’s easy to tell yardage from grams and yarn weight.

Absolutely love this. It looks great. Love all the color and swirls. You could maybe take one row of squares off at bottom of each sleeve, and then work a cuff of some kind you want. Just an idea. Lovely work on this…✨

It's really pretty the end result :) If you want to make the seaming much easier and not bulky at all try the join as you go methods there are so many and they look very nice too :) as for the loose ends I like to saw them in with every few squares when I make them that way at the end you don't have to freak out ahahah
@libbylandscape3560Ай бұрын
This is so cute, and you did a great job! ❤ When I make grannie squares for a project, I weave in the ends before blocking, just so they don’t become a mammoth job to face at the end.

Very attractive. I would suggest removing the last row of squares on the sleeves, then pick up and knit downwards a cuff. Also a wider border on the front opening to include a button band. I like to crochet together the squares, it can be done with a thinner yarn to make it less prominent.

This is wonderful. To figure out how much yarn: This probably is somewhere else in comments but you can weigh your finished garment and if you used a single weight of yarn you can estimate yardage/meterage from its weight. Hobbii Cotton 8/6 is 50 g (1.75 oz) per skein and 104 m (114 yards) per skein. If you used different weights and have the labels you can average. Weigh the cardigan (I use a kitchen scale with a big glass bowl on it zeroed then pop the folded garment into the bowl. Then divide the number of grams by the total grams weight of one of your Hobbiii skeins and then multiply that by the total yards or meters on the label and you'll have a pretty accurate total amount of skeins/yards/meters. If you used different yarns of other weights you can do the same thing by the perecentage of the garment done in that different weight yarn... and the same with embellishments, like beads - weigh one of the embellishments and multiply by how many you used then subtract the embellishment total weight from your yarn totals.
