My grandmother crocheted a skirt for me when i was young and she lined it so the stitching never stretched. I loved it and wore it all the time.

@@donotdisturb6597 im pretty sure she did it by hand, like a whip stitch. I was only 10 so i dont remember watching her do it, but however she did it, it held up well throught washings. She could do ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING when it came to sewing/crocheting.

The thumbnail of this video was SO GOOD, I subscribed to the CHANNEL before hitting play on the video- no joke! I was one hundred percent correct with the above decision- this video is so underrated!!! Playing it today while doing some chores to get an overview of the project. Can't wait to make one for myself! I'll have to ensure I round up enough yarn beforehand because I've never made a crochet project this large as of yet, and this one looks like it would require quite a bit of yarn. Worth it for sure though! I agree- this looks extremely customizable in terms of textures, colors, length, add-ons, etc. I would love to make one that's green and forest-like, or with browns with accents of pumpkin spice and autumn leaf colors! 😍 Just a quick technical question because I'm technically "new-ish" to crochet, but finally doing it consistently and gaining skills... can we work in the round or in a spiral as another option, vs turning the work? All good either way, just figured make an effort to be prepared with as many relevant options as possible! I might even try making a small sample, like a doll-sized skirt or a leg warmer or something to see and feel for how this project would work up as I go. I'm very tactile and visual, so making a mini-mini of anything I'm not familiar with has been giving me confidence lately with proceeding to do projects I would otherwise have some degree of intimidation to try. Not to mention, it's easier to mess up and learn from something small instead of something larger! 😊 LOVE this video, can't wait to try it, and to have a look at your other videos when I get a chance! Fawn 🩷

I want a loose skirt (I am size 16, but prefer about an 18 so as not to show my body shape (for modesty purposes). I finished so far at time stamps on transcript 13:56 where it was a DC all the way around. It looks like you did possibly a SC row, then a possible treble crochet row before you started the DC increase every other stitch (you said row 6, but it looks like row 7. Sorry I am abit confused since starting the ruffle immediately after waist band I counted 7 rows of where you began increase again. Any advice on increasing for my size. Thank you so much
