I have a question and I hope you can help...I've watched tons of videos and people talked a lot about the same niches all the time....But I rarely find videos that even mention the "Religious" niche. I'm specifically am in the Christian niche and my focus is on Christian women seeking emotional healing. Great video! I just started my Etsy and my graphic designs are really out of the box and not what’s popular. They are really only for a specific aesthetic and I really don’t want to crank out a bunch of basic stuff or anything that others are doing. So I wonder if that is going to just completely hinder my growth.

That is awesome! I think creators with super original stuff sometimes see slower growth in the beginning but they are the ones who end up building a really sustainable business. I would stick with it, especially if it’s what you enjoy!

I would definitely try multiple niches. Try to be a little more specific as well because those that you mentioned are very broad and hard to compete in.

Hello Hannah! Congratulations on your channel. I'm a new subscriber from Madrid. I recently joined Merch by Amazon, exactly 3 months ago, and I am now in Tier 100. When I moved up to Tier 100, I had 80 spaces to fill in the area UPLOADED TODAY. Within a week, this number decreased to 50 spaces, and then again to 30 spaces a week later. Is this normal? Because this didn't happen in Tier 10 or Tier 25. Thank you so much if you have the chance to write me. And once again, your videos are very helpful. You make it very easy to understand, very eloquent. Keep working on your Channel.

Congrats on getting into the Merch program. Amazon experiments a lot with the upload limits. The are very secretive as to why, but sometimes these numbers will shift around.

Good for you! Pinterest can be tricky to convert sales to. I know a lot of people have good luck creating Facebook or Instagram pages to drive sales to Etsy.

I'd say it is risky to target holiday niches. I have seen several people complaining that they get crazy amounts of returns, getting them stuck in a tier, because people just use it for the holiday then return it..

This is definitely something to be aware of. Sales always outpace returns by quite a bit for me, but it’s still a bummer.

There is really no wrong way! I have both niche specific stores and some general shops as well! If you have a niche you are passionate about you can pursue that--otherwise I would just put everything together.

Political shirts are definitely a gray area, but certainly a great money maker for me. You can use their likeness in graphics, but not photos because those are owned by the photographer. My favorite place to find graphics for politicians (and generally USA inspired things) is All American Graphics. I have them linked in my description if you want to check out what they have!

Great videos! Can you do a video specifically about political t-shirts? For example, can you put candidates faces on the t-shirts? They are public figures so are they fair game? What about the words Biden, Trump, Maga as far as trademarks. Trump is trademarked I assume. Maybe include yours or other people's shirts as examples of what Amazon allows and doesn't allow with the political satire etc.. Some examples of Amazon takedowns would help too. Thanks in advance!

Simple answer Yes, you can sell those types of things. Harder answer, you have to make sure the actual design is a free to use design or something trademarked. I've been doing political shirts since 2015 and have never been hit with anything yet.

I love your vibe and content... and I do not mind you use the word niche so much ;-) being that it is a niche tutorial. I like to make an observation however about word use that might be helpful. You are probably not aware but you use the word literally a lot and it has no function or there is actually nothing literal about the example you are using this word for. I notice its a buzz word nowadays and used as a filler but its really annoying when its used as a meaningless adjective. Hope this was helpful, I mean literary helpful ;-)
